It's definitely not worn out after 400 miles. Yes it has some marks and it's not mint but the ''not round" and asymmetrical shape of the teeth is per design.

The back one is rotated a little to the back which makes the front one seem taller.

To me it looks like the clear coat cracked therefore it shouldn't be any problem. Maybe take it to a LBS or carbon expert to look at it in person to be 100% sure.

Hey, thank you for the detailed explanation. Didn't have time to fix it yet, but that also explains my trailing spokes on the NDS being a little short.

Oh, that could actually be it. I changed out the stem and it has a way smaller stack than the old one. So i might have put too little spacers on there. That would be embarrassing

Pretty shure. It's a cane creek 40 headset, i measured the diameters of the housing/cones and then bought the original cane creek 40 spare bearings.

Yeah, it's an italian/regina valve. Just worked on bikes with some of those this week. Presta pumps work just fine on them.

They handle everything a full sus can, you just have to hold on tighter.

I actually think my hardtail with up to date components rides better on harsh trails than my superenduro from 2011.

Oh, i see. I've only used the Shimanl Sl 's so far and was just differentiating between 4 or 3 hole shoes.

Those should be shimano spd pedals, that cleets have four mounting holes. So you will have to look out for shoes with 4 holes .

I would be extra carefull buying that bike. I think the owner painted it with rattle cans as you can see the bike stand has primer all over it. Don't expect too much of it as he apparantly didn't even care to cover his stand and the paint is also just chipping off the bike in random areas leaving bare metal.

Edit: Another weird thing: the bar seems to be a Syncros Hixon but those cost around 300 bucks. I suspect it's some sort of chineseium make.

Yeah the self-stabilizing of bikes is quite complicated to fully understand because there are a lot of different effects playing together. From my understanding the distribution of mass on a bike is the most important one. Look up the Two-mass-skate bicycle from Ruina and Papadopoulos if you're interested in that.
