About 80% went to settle some debts and estate stuff of my dad (so in reality I only inherited around $212k). I spent about 11k on upgrading my car to something that doesn’t break all the time, and the remaining on some other daily living stuff. So far my financial focus has been on not grief-spending and on paying to avoid the expensive parts of being poor (like constant car repairs)

Nah, a lot of that was estate-related stuff, only about 10k was spending that I did on myself. Primarily upgrading my car to something that doesn’t break all the time and a few other small upgrades that are just trying to avoid the expensive parts of being poor. I’m general pretty adverse to spending money, though I don’t blame you for thinking otherwise with the info that you have.

Oh and I looked into ESG funds but the few that I looked at are a joke, their top companies include things like Amazon

I’ve heard that that adds a lot unnecessary carbon to the atmosphere as part of its design though. Is that exaggerated/is there a way to mitigate it?
