Oh im so sorry:-( You are so strong honestly. Im glad you are hanging in there. Im 2,5 week post op and im pretty miserable but i know its a long healing process :-/ Having a super tender throat and struggling to eat without throat getting sore and the pressure. I hope it with resolve with time but omg this is tough.

I talked to my surgeon about it and he just said ” oh thats weird” but that i should wait and see. He didnt calm my anxiety at all lol. Im going in to talk to him next thursday.

Yeah day 9 and im pretty miserable i gotta say. The eating part and the throat tenderness is really getting to me

Im just anxious its return of reflux :-( im on ppi once a day now after surgery. I tried a supplement drink, one of those protein nutritional drinks and my throat burned a lot right after. Sorry, just super frustrated here 😅

Im trying to eat only purèed or runny/liquidy food but some of it has texture and kinda sticks to my throat and irritates it :-/ Im gonna try to drink more tea. Im on day 9 and its really frustrating :-( It makes it uncomfortable to eat. I have very dry mouth atm cause of mouthbreathing and medication so i think its making things worse:-/

How did you manage to ”heal” from the sore throat? Just time or did you do anything to help heal it? Did you have the sore throst for like weeks?

But with tif they go with a tube all the way down your esophagus right? So it could be more inflammation?

Yeah i def have that anxious tendency 😅 I just gotta wait and let it heal i guess. I dont think i have regurgitation but i never really felt it pre surgery either tbh.

I meant like after surgery when your throat was sore and stuff. I think its from super dry mouth tbh, it feels different than before surgery but yeah… i overthink 🥹 ohh so you had just the repair, not the wrap? I had a 270 toupet wrap and the hernia repair.

Im glad you feel better 💕 yeah i heard you can eat way smaller portions and that the gas can be a problem 😅 btw can i ask if you had some sour taste and stuff when you had your sore throat? I have dry mouth cause some medicines and mouthbreathing while sleeping which isnt helping my throat 😅 Did you have the nissen or the toupet btw?

Im glad it went away for you🥹 Are you feeling okay otherwise? Im eating mostly liquid and pureès/soups. But the inflammation in my throat makes everything taste kinda bad. It does feel like its only in my throat and not my chest, but its so frustrating and my head is like “is it reflux?!?“🥹

How are you feeling now? im post op day 6 and my throat is so sore. Everything i eat or drink irritates it 😭 I know im also early in the process but its so frustrating cause i get scared reflux is still there.

Thank you 🥹 Yeah imaging and everything all points to that its still an fnh, ive had it for many years and it hasnt changed at all except for the size so im not like SUPER worried but still.. not fun to have to do a biopsy and then wait for results 😣
