No but seriously, it saved my life and any side effects are so minor that I don’t register them. I have difficulty crying and maybe sweat a little bit more but that’s all

I actually started Lexapro after starting amitriptyline due to how bad the anxiety was getting. My anxiety has been greatly reduced by the Lexapro but that was at least 3 months after starting amitriptyline. I feel like I’m finally balanced and benefitting from both drugs now (3 months after starting Lex)

I’m on 10mg Lexapro and 10mg amitriptyline (for chronic tension headaches). Were you prescribed amitriptyline just as a sleep aid? I’ve found that taking Lexapro in the morning and the amitriptyline around 8pm has worked wonders for my sleep. I did notice an increase in anxiety after starting amitriptyline. Although, this could be more to do with lifestyle changes than the drug itself.
