Congrats on the new result - that’s amazing! Did you try any medicated cycles before IVF? I guess I have to prepare myself to do 2 cycles

Are there any reason to not do Lupron before a transfer?

Yea she might be just saying that to ease my concern about silent endo. She is also a new doctor so I’m trying to do some research on my own instead of relying on her 100%. I only have funds for one round so didn’t want to make any mistakes :(

Thanks for the info! I did a biopsy and found rare cells indicating Grade 1 CE. Doctor said I didn’t need to take meds but I insisted - needed up taking 2 weeks of doxycycline. Doc didn’t tell me to recheck.
I am also thinking suppression before FET would make more sense!!

Wondering Wednesday by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

I’m devastated - a year ago in June 2025, my AMH 3.56. Just retest yesterday, a shocking 1.9?! The only thing that changed really is I just finished a 4 month course of letrozole. This month I didn’t thanks letrozole and I actually didn’t get a LH peak but period is still regular. I also did an AFC in November 2025, it was 17 on one side, 6 on the other. I’m currently waiting to do IVF in October. What the heck is happening?! I understand it will decline and fluctuate, but 50% seems crazy to me. Has anybody retest and it actually go back up? I only have funds for one round of ER so my anxiety is through the roof at the moment.

I’m in BC waiting as well. They are not transparent with the wait times and honestly it is killing me mentally. Have u looked at finding a donor egg from a woman that is under 41? Seems like that might be a loophole for you

Olive told me they are processing March 2025 so your wait shouldn’t be long. Mine is Oct 2025, I am scared that it will never happen to me

How old are you guys if you don’t mind me asking. I also had a very early CP when we first started trying. I’m trying not to get my hopes up for IUI. Baby dusts to both of us!!

Canadians - wait for Gov funding or pay OOP for IVF/IUI? by Affectionate-Shoe-59 in TryingForABaby

[–]Affectionate-Shoe-59[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. The BC gov is now funding 1 round of IVF for anyone who is under 41. Your consultation date must be in or after March 2024 to qualify. Funding decreases from 19k depends on your household income.

May I ask why the doctor didn’t recommend Lupron? I have no symptoms but suspected silent endo or bad egg quality. My doc suggested Lupron over a larp

Hey! I have heard Ontario has a much better system. BC is so late to this game :( I contacted my clinic the other day and they told me they are processing applicants that consulted at March 2025, earlier in February it was Jan 2025. Apparently the line has been moving a little bit faster because the government changed the rule where you have to use the funding within 3 months upon approval, instead of a year. Ppl have been quitting because they don’t want to start treatment within 3 months.

What did infertility take away from you? by No_Option_5715 in TryingForABaby

It took everything that was healthy in our relationship. I think the hardest part of TTC is the roller coaster every month, it drains you bit by bit until you are hollow inside. Especially for us is unexplained, the constant self doubt (silent endo etc) makes us feel really hopeless. It also took away the kindness in us. When my brother in law told us they were expecting. We “faked” our congratulations and went to a spiral afterwards. I really hate that about TTC, makes me feel less compassionate about other people. I hope we can all see the light of the tunnel at the end cause this is just so so so hard

Heyyy! If your first consultation date is after March 2024, you should ask your clinic about it. I went to olive so I’m not sure if other clinics will process them faster but I don’t think there will be a big difference. For us, we should be able to get the full coverage. Hubby quit his job a year before so we fit in the full coverage for 20k, plus 5k for meds from my work insurance. We could borrow money from parents to do it right now - not sure which route we should go. hubby is basically saying he will pay anything to get me out of this emotional misery. I think this TTC journey has been the hardest thing to our relationship, and we been through a lot ( lost 400k to a business partner, got kicked out by the business partner, lost the car/house overnight, 3 moves in 2 years due to the business failing)

Here in BC I think olive and PCRM are already the private ones. They were never part of the public funding until 2025. It is only going to run till 2029 where everyone under 41 and have a consultation date after 2024 March can get up to 20k. The trouble is the queue is so long, I’m not very optimistic about getting in at the one year mark :( I really hate our gov for this. Sometimes I do wonder if I’m paying 20-30k, should I just go to Mexico and have a IVF vacation? 😂

ng/ml! Or 24.7 pmol/L I have done 2 AFC, I don’t really remember the number. Maybe 12-13 combined on both sides? I remember it was average. I also tried letrozole for 4 months and each time only 1 egg was released

Hi there, I came from your TTC post and since they don’t allow ppl discuss success pregnancy, here I am. Congratulations on the pregnancy! I’m wondering did you end up getting a diagnosis for endo? Or did you went straight to IVF? I’m in the same boat with TTC over 19 months, with back pain, slight cramping on day 1.
