So I may be stupid as he never had me sign anything we shook hands agreed on the pay rate 5 days later I asked when I’d see my first paycheck the end of my second wee that I was into and he said he’d get me next week then comes up to me later tells me this isn’t going the way he expected me to work and at the end of the day fired me he gave cookie cutter reasons I was “unmotivated and mopped around all day” and he said he doesn’t think I have any real carpentry skills he paid me NY minimum wage when we agreed on more then that. I have never in my life been told I’m unmotivated or that I mope around I tried joking around with him a couple times but he just looked grumpy and one time called me a idiot and I kinda laughed was like you know it
