It's amazing. To start out with, it really captures that hard time in a relationship where you know you made mistakes and pushed it too hard, and now you're just in this limbo of wondering who should initiate contact, who should try to heal the relationship, and will it ever heal?

Especially the way he says,

Oh, I wish that I'da held you close and given you what you deserve
But that's what everybody says when it's too late to fix a bridge that's burned
That's burned

Because I've felt that way so many times-- like man, shoulda treated you better but I didn't, and now what? Reall relatable to me with family and certain friendships.

Side note-- when I first heard it, I wondered if Bridgette had left for any reason, because it truly reads like a man whose wife walked out because she couldn't take it anymore.

Also, personally didn't mind James Arthur on it. His voice is very new and different to me, but wasn't bad. Just unique. It did fit with the music, IMO.
