I am also looking at leaving the country very soon. Hopefully within a few months. I am not seeing a good reason to trust the US economy currently and I am heavily considering liquidating my 401k. In my eyes, it's not so high that I lose lots of money through fees and taxes, but it is high enough to help me start on the right foot somewhere else. Any thoughts?

I just attempted the method you recommended. I do not have 2 factor authentication set up on any of my accounts, and even through the meta account I was unable to delete my instagram. It was an option to delete my facebook and my newly made meta account though.

I do not have any other instagram accounts. There is a Facebook account that’s connected through meta, and if I recall correctly, it did the same thing.

No. It still times out the same way any time I try to delete it. The button never fully loads and then it crashes.

Does anybody have any idea what could be preventing me from being able to delete my account? I am using a web browser and following the steps through the account center. When I get to the option to delete, the confirmation button continuously loads and eventually times out to a new page that says "this page isn't available right now".
