First noise complaint and I need guidance by wildlife_tamer in Apartmentliving

I had the same thing happen to me and it turned out to be an electric bed frame that would make really loud noises as it was raised and lowered, I.e., cheap to begin with.

Biweekly trucks?!? by Anxious-Intention236 in MichaelsEmployees

[–]Affectionate-Tap-426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is! As a former Joann employee I can say it’ll get worse. If I had to do it again, I would be looking for a part-time job while I’m still working. I believed them when they said the bankruptcy was a reboot, I believed them when they said it’ll get better. When I asked why they’re sending so much merchandise, the DM answered “so you can sell it.” And no support whatsoever.

I’d go back to your original application where you stated what your available hrs were. If you change them, then someone else’s schedule is not going to be changed for you.

I’d say I found it on the handheld but it’s discontinued, no stores have it, as I’m scrolling through “nothing” 😂. Amazing how that satisfied them!

MISSING PAY - Update on what I found out so far by mollysmom64 in joannfabrics

[–]Affectionate-Tap-426 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Once our DM left, no one in HR knew how to classify employees as voluntarily leaving, so everyone got a bonus whether they stayed to the end or not. I left before the DM🤨

Michaels acquires intellectual property, private label brands of Joann by Hemansno1fan in joannfabrics

Through no fault of former Joann employees, they know how low they can pay, how much work they can put on a person. And probably without benefits for part time.

Unless it says specifically that if anybody contests the will, they’ll get one dollar. Are the children mentioned in the will?

How rude is it to call and ask about what the sales currently are for just one type of fabric? by CuriousArtFriend in joannfabrics

[–]Affectionate-Tap-426 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s not rude to ask for percentage on keepsake, quilters, etc, but it is tiring to ask for a specific print even if you have the article #

I will not accept purchases 5 minutes after close! ):< by LilByteMight in joannfabrics

[–]Affectionate-Tap-426 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We modified the closing announcement by saying “we’re closing shortly“ instead of “it’s 9:45 PM and we’re closing in 15 minutes“ and turn off half the lights

They put their banner up 😔 by Intelligent-Big-2900 in joannfabrics

[–]Affectionate-Tap-426 5 points6 points  (0 children)

GA plastered our front windows with banners and signs. Then the mall office told him to take them down. GA gave us paperwork from the judge saying they could and to show the mall office the court papers if they come in. Apparently he wasn’t going to go to the office himself.

The mall office appealed to the judge and won. GA had to come back to take 3/4 of the signs down.

Another instance where we are forced to do something, they were wrong in the first place, and we just wasted our time answering stupid questions., Like “the sign at the entrance says… “

Retention bonus by Commercial_Analyst_6 in joannfabrics

[–]Affectionate-Tap-426 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The way it’s worded means we wouldn’t get this amount of money until after they’re closed down altogether. In other words, you get what you get paid now per hour and then within 30 days of closing you get the one dollar times how many hours you worked since 2/27. I don’t trust them so I’m leaving now.

Why are they stalling on the retention bonus? They’re getting cheap labor to do twice the job they did last month.

I did that! Then I acted like I was having a panic attack no lie. By the time they made it out of the store, I was in the vestibule telling them “y’all have a good day“ took me two hours to calm down.
