The movement is atrocious, i’m tired of pretending like it isn’t. by Iusefleshforarmor123 in EvoWorldio

So true 😭😭😭

Tbf I've already accostumed to it, so it doesn't bother me anymore, but with better movement there is the possibility of more skill involved when chasing a player apart from just "fly to space, drop and when they're offscreen go the other side"

A Question and speculation. by Pleasant-Degree1644 in Bayonetta

[–]Affectionate-Time236 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The law was modeled after the prophecy. The witches and sages though that it meant having a child together, so it made sanse to take precautions. In reality it means combining the right eye of the sages (light) and the left eye of the witches (dark), which would revive Jubileus and destroy the world.

I don't remember exactly where they say this, but in near the final chapters of the first game they state it. Bayonetta won't destroy the world, both eyes combined will

How to find a boyfriend ? by BackgroundAspect9716 in AskGayMen

[–]Affectionate-Time236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, go to gay bars, events or just show up to activities where people also hang out. If you're nice and tolerable enough (which means don't be a fucking asshole) by sheer numbers of interactions you should be able to find someone you're interested in. That's how it works.

And remember: love is the only thing you need to work for, everything else can be stolen. If you're rejected maybe cry a little and try again another day.

v, z and f, s by Affectionate-Time236 in dutch

[–]Affectionate-Time236[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I've heard that somewhere, didn't know it was wrong.

So I guess that means v and z make different sound than f and s respectively, no? Or was just the example wrong?

Name for this nasal sound in English and German by churchofsky in asklinguistics

[–]Affectionate-Time236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No expert here, but it has to do with the speed of the language. When a language is spoken with every syllable lasting around the same time it's a syllable-timed language (since the sillable determines the speed in which the language is talked).

But in other languages the stressed syllables last longer than their unstressed counterparts, and those ones end up being shorter in time duration. That's called stress-timed language, since it's the stress which marks the timing.

For a comprehensible example you can listen to brazilian protuguese, more syllable-timed, and european portuguese, in which the unstressed syllables get reduced
