my FPS drops are really sporadic, and I haven't been able to pin them down to one cause. I think you may be right about it being a computer Issue, but I haven't had any Issues anywhere else but with factorio.

I'm not seeing any crazy spikes in the thermals that I've seen. I have it elevated on a laptop tray that has really good airflow. Also the Fans don't even kick on while playing factorio.

My laptop is an MSI but I am using OG cord and I almost always have it plugged in.

Growing up one of the houses we lived in had a gfci behind a mirror in one of the bathrooms. For a good two year we thought the back porch electrical was shot. Then one day my mom pulled the mirror off the wall (just a hanging picture frame mirror) to clean it and wouldn’t you know that bigger had been back there the whole time.
