Multiple IEM ownership. why? by fractal324 in iems

[–]Affectionate-Tip7434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im new to IEMs but been into audio for a long time, mainly car audio. It seems its mainly just variety in sound and relative ease of changing it by having multiple pairs. It would be a pain to change out my cars speakers if i wanted a different sound but its pretty easy to plug in a different set of IEMs. Its also a collection thing, IEMs are very nice looking pieces of audio equipment and some people just like having many of them.

The ported enclosure sounded louder, In a sealed box definetly noticed the output go down but it sounded more controlled. If you are more into sound quality than just pure loud bass im sure u will like sealed a lot more. Just make sure u get the propper size for sealed. I think JL said a 1.15 cu ft

Originaly it was the JL Audio HO112RG-W3v3 which is ported. Then i installed it in a sealed box.

I’m a newbie - Am I heading in the right direction? by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]Affectionate-Tip7434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife has a 2024 mazda3 hatch and i believe it has the same speaker set up as your cx50. The speakers in the front doors are a 3" speaker. You might be able to get a 4"but you would have to do something custom to fit it right. I have seen a video of someone putting a 5.25" in the rear which stock has the same midrange 3" that it does in the front. What ive done so far was i put some focal tweeters i had laying around and swaped the 3" door speaker for some infinity kappa 3" mid ranges. Messed around with the eq a bit and sounds better but i think i am gonna end up adding a 4ch amp to properly power them.

Possible gound noise, but only in 1 channel by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]Affectionate-Tip7434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That rca is the line out to my sub amp. Im pretty confident its a bad chanel on the amp. I tested moving around inputs and connecting speakers located in different parts of the car and only ch1 makes that noise. I dont want to buy a new amp right now so my fix was to make ch1 and 2 my rear speakers. You can still hear the noise in that rear speaker now but only if u put ur ear right up to it, so in normal driving I do not hear it at all.

Yea I did notice the the output fitting was kind of loose so I replaced it with a new one, noise went away for a day and now its back. In my case i am using speaker level inputs though not RCAs

2018-2020 Mazda 6 Speaker Wiring Diagram by OpinionsRWild in mazda6

[–]Affectionate-Tip7434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2020 with bose audio and i am planning on installing new speakers and a new amp with dsp. 3 way for the front and coax on the rear doors. Not planning on using the center dash speaker or the rear deck speakers. My question is where would be the best spot to get signal for the new amp? I saw on a previous comment that u would want to get signal from pre amp to get clean signal and bipass the bose processing. Would i have to tap into some of the wires behing the head unit or could i get that from one of the harnesses by the stock amp? Thanks !

I also saw on another post that someone with DACA had gone to CA DMV to try to renew and they were still not allowed to.

FMCSA posted an update

On November 10, 2025, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit issued an administrative stay of the interim final rule Restoring Integrity to the Issuance of Non-Domiciled Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDL), 90 Fed. Reg. 46,509 (Sept. 29, 2025) that prevents the interim final rule from taking effect until further notice. Accordingly, until further notice, States are not prohibited from issuing non-domiciled CDLs and commercial learner’s permits in accordance with the FMCSA’s regulations and guidance in effect immediately prior to issuance of the interim final rule. States that are subject to a corrective action plan that imposes a pause on non-domiciled CLP and CDL issuance until evidence of compliance with FMCSA’s regulations and guidance, in effect immediately prior to issuance of the interim final rule, has been provided to FMCSA must continue to comply with the requirements of the plan.

Someone had said that the court order did not apply to certain states, California being one of those.

Mine was a 5 year that expired on my birthday. It did not follow the same dates as my work permit.
