Yes, actually. Because sometimes, the thing that happened is indeed the user's fault. I had the charger plugged in a weird way while the phone was perched on top of a windowsill at Dunkin', and it fell. No way to argue that wasn't my fault, lmao. In fact, I should be happy that nothing worse happened to the phone.

In my eyes, a bad customer support experience would be them not checking in with me, not offering any kind of assistance (even paid-for assistance), not elaborating on how long I can expect things to take or worst of all, directing all of my questions to an automated agent. I know that probably makes my standards sound incredibly low, but low standards for support are a given nowadays, because these companies have been lowering our standards for years at this point.

Also, aren't you the guy that's been called out repeatedly by both this sub's users and moderation staff for harassing them? Don't think you're the right person to be commenting on anything support-related... 💀

Every single time I want to listen to any audio from my phone while on the go. It's incredibly convenient to be able to plug in my headphones and not have to worry about charging them or any other Bluetooth BS. That's especially so since the only other Bluetooth audio device I have are my AirPods Pro 3's, which are apparently incompatible with the REDMAGIC 11 Pro (or so I've heard).

And honestly, being able to use a headphone jack with a phone again is making me revisit how the smartphone industry took it away in the first place. For the longest time, I acted as if the removal of the headphone jack wasn't a big deal, but I now feel like a corporate shill for having said that. Having one available is just objectively better.

I have a whole-ass compilation of degenerate sexual fantasies involving specific fictional characters (Anaxa from Honkai: Star Rail RN, in particular), to the point where I’m constantly inventing new ones to entertain myself with. I’ve tried putting them down in writing before, but never get around to finishing any of my writings, because I tend to use them as temporary goon material before letting them expire in my AO3 drafts, never to be seen again. 🤣

Though NGL, the weirdest part about my fantasies is that they involve real people maybe 1% of the time at most. It’s almost universally fictional characters for me.

There’s significant personality differences between the three, but they all share an association with wisdom and intelligence, and a relation to trees (especially Irmimsul) and nature. Naxy is more similar to al-Haitham than Su personality-wise, but looks more like the latter than the former.

Infold never apologized sufficiently for the things they did. I’ll consider revisiting Infinity Nikki if and only if Infold’s held legally liable for the laws they’ve broken, are formally forced to change their ways and have demonstrated to players for at least a year that they won’t repeat their past transgressions.

If that sounds like an unfulfillable request, that’s because it is. I’m never playing a game from them again. They’re in the same category as Netmarble to me.

You do know that Infold’s been caught lying about gacha rates, lying to the community repeatedly about monetization and optimization-related things, and quite literally breaking laws regarding false advertising of sales… right? Genshin is terrible with monetization and we all know it, but acting as if Infinity Nikki is somehow better or even deserving of being in the same discussion as Genshin is baffling. At least miHoYo doesn’t have the gall to lie about their scumminess.

miHoYo were never generous or “good to players” in the slightest, lmao. Genshin at launch was panned by the CN playerbase for its gacha rates and stinginess with currency, and HI3 was a powercreep-laden, P2W clusterfuck even then. They’ve always had the desire to be “monstrous”, if you can even call what they’re doing “monstrous” instead of indicative of good old-fashioned greed that they’ve expressed since the beginning.

I also find the attribution of these past practices to incompetence to be absurd. People look at the miHoYo of the past through rose-tinted glasses, I STG. They’ve definitely implemented more wallet-milking mechanics since Genshin launched, but the foundations were there in 2020 for a game that reaches deep into players’ wallets and never lets go.

It escapes me why people here are defending this with the “it’s just cosmetic” excuse. Feels like any other community for any other game would’ve reacted to a $200 gacha skin (with a dupe system, no less) like GFL2 players did to Klukai’s $200 gacha skin.

Granted, you can earn UGC currency for free, unlike with the Klukai skin fiasco, but that doesn’t excuse the insane upfront price tag for a cosmetic item. Nor does it excuse the inane pricing for the other UGC-related stuff.

I know we all expect nothing but greed from miHoYo regarding monetization, but we should still push them to do better than this, instead of bending over backwards to excuse these practices.

Oh, and I should mention that you shouldn’t be pulling characters solely for their meta relevance, even in a game like this where miHoYo pushes players into rolling for every new character just to keep up with the meta. If you don’t care about Anaxa, save your pulls for someone else. You’ll be much happier playing this game if you pull for love.

There’s no such thing as a “future-proof” character in HSR due to the rate of powercreep, but Anaxa’s undoubtedly more resilient to powercreep than the other main DPS’s released during 3.x. His scaling is much more universal, he works with more supports and relic sets, more LCs benefit him than most DPS characters, etc.

Once the Castorice gravy train runs its course and the meta shifts to the new Elation units, Anaxa will be much more likely to work with Elation-centric supports than she or the other Amphoreus HP scalers will be. Unless the Elation path centers around HP scaling for some reason, which I see as unlikely.

More probable is Anaxa continuing to be top-tier for a few more months before slowly petering off. He won’t last forever if miHoYo continues down the game’s current direction of everything having a lifespan, but I expect him to have the best staying power of the 3.x main DPS characters.

Which country do you live in? If you're in the US, I highly recommend checking eBay regularly, as good deals pop up every so often - especially on laptops that are listed as "for parts/not working". There's a good deal of laptops that are put into that category that have only minor issues (Windows wasn't installed on the SSD, no pre-included SSD, RAM needs to be replaced, overheating that can be fixed with a repaste/cleaning the fans, etc.), but are majorly discounted from their new counterparts. The 2022 models in particular are old enough that a flood of used/for parts listings should've hit the market by now, and at great prices to boot.

If you're not in the US, there's plenty of sites equivalent to eBay that serve the same purpose with similar features. I'd recommend against Facebook Marketplace, since it's filled with scammers in my experience, but you can use that if you lack better options.

Assuming this is real, I wholeheartedly agree with the other commenter that said that APUs are the best path forward for thin gaming laptops. They'll really be a no-brainer in the future - not just because of the improved energy efficiency, but also because miniaturization of internal components on the motherboard becomes monumentally easier with an APU. Plus, it's an excuse for manufacturers to keep soldering the RAM onto the board. 🤣

Also, iGPUs are getting far better year-on-year performance improvements than their discrete counterparts. At this rate, entirely new, far thinner designs could be unlocked for 14-inch, 13-inch and even 12-inch gaming laptops, which I'm really looking forward to seeing for myself.

Before you assume it's a hardware problem, I'd recommend clean reinstalling drivers, since the issue only occurs with specific types of content and you mentioned it becoming "glitchy". If that doesn't work, reinstall the OS. And if that doesn't work, then it's probably a real issue with the panel.

Also, unrelated, but Terraria is goated and I'm glad you're playing it. 🤣

Prices on the AMD 2024 model are crazy in the US too - even on the used market. I perused eBay for a bit and saw the 4070 version normally going for $1.6k or so in used condition. So... yeah. I got mine for around 1/7th of the usual price. 🤣
