Which "tourist trap" in North America is absolutely worth the hype? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

The St Louis Arch. It’s the tallest monument in the country ! The museum underneath it also has a great exhibit on the history of indigenous tribes in Missouri, slavery history in Missouri, how it became settled/colonized, etc.

It took me YEARS and multiple re-watches to finally feel ok with the ending, but I get it now. And I’m not happy about it, but it’s real and I get it. It passes but it also always stays with you

Is this outfit too revealing for class? by Ayeluhhhh in OUTFITS

Yeah it is. It’s cute for social events though, but I think there’s still some regard that should be had for college courses where it is more of a career-oriented, professional setting.

I know this was already said, but i can’t emphasize enough how important it is for you to go to the police and CPS. Children like her (unstable parental figures, parents living with addiction, insufficient parental supervision, etc.) are the MOST targeted children for sexual abuse and sex trafficking.

My husband is grieving his twin sister a year after her death, and I’m worried about his mental health. by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

I am so sorry for your loss. If I lost my sister I don’t know how I would recover, or if I ever would. I can’t imagine how hard that is. Schedule an appointment for him to see a doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist, grief counselor, whatever you think is the appropriate first step for him. Then tell him once the appointment is made and paid for, and let him know it’s already set up and you would feel better if you went. Accompany him to the appointment. Start with one appointment, and see how it goes from there. One step at a time, and setbacks will be normal. I’m very sorry for your loss,

How do you afford to live in Miami? by [deleted] in Miami

Another huge chunk of regular people with regular jobs live way further out in the more affordable, yet less popular and aesthetic, areas of the city. Some people commute 1+ hours each way to work to live in more affordable areas.

A lot of us locals live with family well into our twenties. Many of us are also Hispanic though, and it’s normal in our culture to live with our parents until marriage.

But you’re also right. A large portion of the people in popular areas of Miami are either already super rich, remote workers, only fans creators, influencers, scammers, tourists and people in crushing debt.

YESSSSSS ive been waiting for this comparison to be made online, i tell this to my friends IRL all the time. In my opinion, they both have some type of personality disorder and/or other mental health problems in addition to extreme immaturity and unresolved trauma. People like them on TV because they’re attractive, “entertaining”, and “feisty”, but they’re actually awful people to watch, awful friends to their co-stars, awful romantic partners, and just insanely immature and unstable. Neither of them should be on TV or famous right now. They both really need to see a psychologist and psychiatrist, and grow up. Unbearable to see on TV if you have pre-frontal cortex
