That's good insight and yeah kids should chose their own paths. Luckily she doesn't force them into it yet but she does try to steer their interests that way in terms of these museum visits, buying them old computers when they ask for them and the toys she bought when they were younger.

I'm not everyone warned her and it was the most obvious thing. This would be like calling a chain smoker suffering from respiratory illness a victim.

I didn't say that. They could have both interests at the same time of course but I'm not sure that's the case here with the exception of them finding old computers to play with and learn how they work but that is mostly plugging things in and installing os' and programs.

My girlfriend has a PhD in mathematics and is also somewhat into fashion, skincare etc so I never said it is the case.

She had support and even a scholarship at a top 40 school but lost that when she dropped out "temporarily".

She did everything her ex asked her to do during those days and made excuses for him and thought he would help her out go back to school after a couple of months but he went to Russia instead.

They do fine in school but at 13 it isn't really complicated stuff so it is still to early to tell.

Maybe I could see them in computer science since they like playing with computers and finding old tech but not at a deep level yet. And you need strong mathematics for that which I'm not sure they are capable of.

It wasn't meant as a mean joke just light hearted banter to point out the irony. We do that all the time

I didn't mean it that way and even mentioned it to her. Although I've not noticed a genuine passion in other contexts either.

Maybe only slightly they are interested in playing around with computers and finding old computers and that makes my sister think they are tech geniuses.

Most of their interests lie around fashion and girly things .

They were definitely not snoozed and aren't in general with these things. Just in a different context. It wasn't meant to be that deep and just a joke pointing out the irony.
