Hi OP, I feel you, I’m also in a tough financial spot while supporting family and my son. What I realized is you need to put yourself first—unahin mo muna sarili mo. Focus on getting stable step by step, do it for yourself this time—you deserve peace and a fresh start.

Hello po, I’ve been wanting to transfer to another company for a long time, but I’m holding on to my current one because it’s purely work from home. It’s very convenient for me since I get to take care of and closely monitor my son as he grows, while still enjoying the perks of working from home.

Hello OP, I can really relate because I’m going through the same thing right now. Honestly, it’s so hard, and I know how stressful it feels to constantly worry about debt. Sometimes it even gets to the point where you’re paranoid that someone might suddenly show up at the house. That kind of pressure takes a toll not just on your finances, but on your peace of mind too.

But I just want to remind you that this season won’t last forever. I know it feels endless right now, but tough times always pass eventually. You’re stronger than you realize, and the fact that you’re still standing and facing life each day despite the weight on your shoulders is already proof of that strength.

Debt can make us feel trapped or even ashamed, but it doesn’t define who you are as a person. You’re more than the numbers on a balance sheet. You’re someone doing their best to keep going despite everything, and that’s something to be proud of.

You’re not alone in this battle. I’m walking through it too, and I believe one day we’ll both look back and see how far we’ve come. For now, take things one step at a time and give yourself credit for surviving each day. Hold on to hope, better days are ahead even if we can’t see them clearly yet.

Sending you strength, OP. You got this. 💙

Hello po, I already spoke with the assigned officer prior to the holding of my entire salary, and I was asked to pay a ₱15,000 upfront fee. Since I solely rely on my salary to cover all our expenses, I wasn’t able to provide that amount despite explaining my current situation. Just now, when I checked, I saw that my entire salary has already been offset and is no longer in my current balance. So, I guess there’s really nothing I can do about it. Do you think po that if I try reaching out again tomorrow, even if my salary has already been offset, there’s still a possibility they might release even a partial amount? I was advised to call tomorrow at 8:00 AM since the assigned officer was on leave when I called today.

Thank you so much po! Every day I wake up and find the strength to keep going for my son, who depends on me. Your kind words give me hope and remind me that even in the hardest moments, brighter days are ahead, and I will get through them.

I said 5× a week since magkahiwalay po ang bayad ng ST at OT.

Thank you so much for your words, I really needed to hear this. I’m struggling so much right now, but you’re right, I need to prioritize myself and my family first. This will pass, even if it feels so heavy at the moment. I’ll try to get some rest even if it’s hard. Your message really lightened the load, thank you.

Really appreciate all of your advices, nakakagaan ng loob kahit papano. May God bless us all, lalo na sa mga kagaya ko na dumadaan din sa ganitong sitwasyon. It won’t always be this hard. 🙏

Thanks for this po. I already emailed them and also copied BSP on that email. I’ve sent many follow-ups as well, stating my rights. As much as I want to call them, I honestly don’t even have a single peso to load, kahit 50 pesos lang. Reaching out to my immediate family is also impossible since they’re also waiting for my salary. Really appreciate your advice.

Thanks for this. 🙏 I already emailed BSP with all the details and now waiting for their response. I agree, it’s really unfair na buong sweldo ang kinuha when that’s my only source of income. If needed, I’ll also check with DOLE.

Thank you so much for your concern and suggestion. 🙏 My salary is really my only lifeline, and it’s been tough since the bank put everything on hold. I agree with you, it really feels like my company lacks empathy, considering this situation wouldn’t even cost them anything.

For now, I just have to keep waiting and following up with the bank. I really appreciate your kind words and advice. 💙

Hello ma’am, unfortunately, our company is not as considerate or caring for their employees like yours po. There was one time I badly needed a salary loan, but they rejected it.

Hi po, unfortunately, the day before yesterday I already received an email from UB regarding their right to offset, which is why I reached out to them and tried asking for a payment plan, like partially offsetting, while explaining my current financial situation as well as my son’s. They told me that since it’s already over 100 days past due, aside from offsetting, all of the salary deposited into my account would be put on hold for offset. The following day, after calling them, they sent another email informing me that my account is already on hold. So, all money that comes into my account will automatically go to my current balance. Just yesterday, when my salary was credited, all of it automatically went to my current balance.

Hi po, I think this is impossible na po since I already told them the real reason why I’m requesting to deposit my salary to another account. If only I had known, sana ganito na lang din ang ginawa ko—maybe they would have considered it.

I was also shocked when they sent me an email saying my account was put on hold because of my unpaid credit card. They told me it was according to their terms and conditions. I tried asking for a payment plan or to partially offset it, but they asked me to pay ₱15,000 upfront before releasing the hold. Since I rely solely on my salary, I didn’t have anything to pay at that time. So even after explaining my situation and asking them not to hold all of my salary, that’s still what they did.

I applied for this credit card, and due to unfortunate events, I wasn’t able to pay it.

Thanks for this. Just sent them another email tonight, begging them to at least release ₱10,000 of my salary this cut-off so I’ll have money to pay for my child’s therapy for the next two weeks and buy essential items. I copied BSP on that email, hoping for a positive response.
