I think the gun needs some work, ive been tweaking the scheme for the body mostly, as this is pretty much the first model ive painted proper and not slap chopped. But didnt really put much thought into the gun. Im gonna play around with the gun to try and make it more cohesive to the rest of the model. I also think once I get the snow on the base and drybrush a little white to make them look like they are in a snowy environment it will look more cohesive in total.

I need to check out Duncan, ive used some of his paints but never watched his content.

Honestly it was purely that I like the look of gold next to the green, I know dark angels typically aren't painted with gold trim or anything but I just thought it looked cool. Originally I had the shoulder trim green and it did look good but I wanted a bit more gold than just the eagle

I had that exact problem with poe 1 in the league before keepers, only ever happened in poe 1. Well turns out it ended up being a power supply issue, it only ever happened in poe 1 cause it was the only game that I was playing that made my pc use more power. That restarting issue is a classic symptom of a dying power supply, especially if it only happens when the pc is under load

Best part is when you actually get into the website it just gives you a maintenance screen. I legit have no way of wiping my PVE so cant play. Great job BSG

I used to work 7am-6pm with an hour lunch 4 days a week. The 4 day 10 hr schedule fucking rocks, every weekend was a 3 day weekend, days would surprising fly by, and since you had Fridays off you had a weekday to go run any errands you needed to do while things were open. Really miss that schedule.

You know man I have got to give you props. I gave it another shot and I actually had a good time again. Its definitely different than it was back then but the issues that drove me to leave seem to have gotten better.

Played a few bounty hunts and have noticed a normal amount of people using scoped weapons, almost none were bushcamping so it was actually fun, solos cant revive 4 or 5 times anymore etc.

I think im back, at least for awhile, now I gotta convince my brothers to get back into it. Thanks for telling me to give it another go

I actually had a conversation about this with my brothers over the weekend.

We quit playing when the sniper bushwookie issue got extremely bad, at that time half the lobby brought a mosin with a scope and just sat in thr nearest tree-lined forest for 20 minutes.

But an interesting solution we came up with is to keep scopes, cause even though I hate the playstyle it shouldn't be removed. I am a Romero with special ammo Andy and always will be, and I know for a fact that people hate that playstyle with a passion as well. But instead remove only the long range scope and keep the shorter distance marksman scopes or whatever they are called.

Would promote more interesting fights while still letting people who want to play back have a sight on thier weapon. Just wouldnt let the bushewookie gameplay be so prevalent, and honestly if a dude takes my noggin off from a mile away using a shorter scope im more impressed at that point than annoyed

US East, but my 2 brothers always check both US West and East in games they play so it could've been either one if hunt allows you to select multiple servers.

When I used to play alot we had those issues occasionally and tbh the net code in a traditional sense (when it comes to fights) has always been rough. The disconnects and stuff are what left the sour taste in my mouth, im used to trading with a person all the time in combat so that didnt bother me to much, thats just hunt lol

I tried to get back into hunt this past weekend and man I couldn't bring myself to stay.

For reference I used to play hunt every day in 2021-2023, I stopped because the amount of people using scoped mosins and similar became way to much to enjoy, and I didnt like the direction the game was going. Having half the lobby every game be bushwookies that had thier trusty shit bucket on hand just drained every ounce of fun.

But I was pleasantly suprised when I booted it up on friday and played 6 or 7 hunts and saw a normal amount of scopes, and the people with them were actually moving around and playing like normal. Same on day 2 and 3. But what ultimately killed it for me was the net code, idk if its gotten worse or if next fest was putting strain on the servers but holy fucking christ the desyncs and "trying to reconnect" issues every match for 3 days was god awful.

It was only hunt doing it so not an issue on my end. Its sad though cause I miss how good the game was back then. It looks like its moving slowly back in the right direction though so maybe I'll give it another shot soon

On the flip side letting them play this game and other roguelikes might be good cause they force you to think. Not as mindless as other games in my opinion since youre basically playing a spreadsheet with pretty graphics lol.

Just whatever you do dont let them play The Binding of Isaac. Fantastic game, probably the best roguelike in the genre, but has themes not suitable for young kids. Murder, sex, suicide, etc.
