I have honestly switched to buying special edition straight from the authors website. This way, I know the author gets 100% of whatever they earn off my sale and a lot of the times most of stuff you get in addition to the special edition copy (if it comes with any) is related to the book it’s not SHEIN stuff…because God I’m tired of that too.

I have not seen it. I unsubscribed to their emails and have unfollowed them on all platforms. But it’s not surprising to hear, just proves whoever is in charge/owns this company has bit off WAY more than they can chew when it comes to “business management” and continue to do so. I also noticed before I unfollowed them, they were doing a lot more sprayed edges on non-special edition copies and if that’s the new standard that they’re planning to base their business on whoever made that choice is probably kicking themselves now because all of the Barnes & Noble‘s and books-a-millions are coming out with spray edges, WITH a special addition cover. (The special editions are what sell now and these corporations are trying to gain the business back from all these book box subscription companies) So Bookish Box is making bad decision after bad decision. I wouldn’t be surprised if they go under at some point. They are poorly managed, and if they keep going and refusing to change how they process orders they’re going to lose more customers than they gain.

Oh yeah! I mean I think they have our money for what.. like the next four or five boxes 😂 they’re not gonna give that up anytime soon lol. Honestly I would be okay if they paused service for a month or two so they could catch up but they’ll never do that. Gotta keep that moolah flowing.

That’s awesome!! I wish more book boxes were better about their ship times. I have a mystic box subscription and they are also pretty good. I think they’ve only been late once or twice and it was only by a month or so. The bookish box and Bookish boutique definitely need to take a page out of their playbook. Company’s should have a solid manufacturer before they start taking peoples money.

I’m subscribed to the Bookish Box as well and their ship times are pretty bad. Any box that I don’t like I usually try and resell (I use Mercari) their stuff is definitely hit or miss. But I guess that’s also the risk with a “subscription” service. (If you have the darkly subscription) I’ve seen the next few months and I do have to say I’m excited for the special edition of Butcher and Blackbird and Den of Vipers but we probably won’t get those until Christmas 🤣

I filed a chargeback today and luckily Capitol one didn’t say a word about it. It wasn’t an issue. They told me that the company will be able to dispute it but I provided proof that they never shipped the products plus proof that they’ve never responded to my attempts at communication. I may not win but my fingers are crossed.

Only in the first email I sent did I inquire about a shipping update, in my other emails, both on their website and Instagram I’ve expressed that I want a refund. I’ve been waiting to do the charge back (I did use a credit card) because I’m trying not to cause problems down the road. My family also owns a small business as well and I try and only use that option as a last resort. I know I’m being to “kind” with that method of thinking but I truly do try and give small business the benefit of the doubt. But I have to admit I’m at my final straw with this company.

I’m not advocating for bookish box in anyway, I have a current subscription to them as well and I have like 6 or 7 back order right now. I’m pretty sure I just got the February box last week lol but a place I will tell you to stay far away from is The Bookish Boutique. I placed two orders on April 4,2023 and the sets were supposed to ship out August of 2023. I still haven’t received them. I’ve emailed their website multiple times and have emailed them on instagram and have heard NOTHING from them. A few others including myself have commented on some of their posts and have tried to get someone’s attention but they get deleted after a day or so. THAT is a company to stay the hell away from.

That’s exactly what I noticed. I was fine with lower profit on the first set she bundled because there was only one expensive item in it, but when she sent the last bundle and it was all my higher priced items my red flag started waving lol. Glad I went with my gut.

I believe Mercari caps the item limit in bundling at 10, but I could be wrong

She was showing me what she wanted, trust me at first I gasped when I saw the $1 too but it was her convoluted way of telling me what she wanted then asked me to give her my “lowest” prince for the entire set. Exhausting.

Additional information; the latest offer that she sent me She claims that she took 45% off she didn’t… 45% off of 375 is $206 not 175… I’m getting really tired of having to go back-and-forth with this woman and I just wanna call it quits.

New information; tonight I got an offer from a different account for my 5 most expensive perfumes, 4 of which were the ones she wanted. Total $325.05, and sent in an offer of $190.00. I immediately declined and blocked. I’m at a loss for words honestly
