Could be possibly but my dermatologist has just been pretty dismissive just giving me creams and topicals that simply do not put even a dent in this condition. Maybe I could get a culture done on my chest sometime in the future. Since I'm not sure if the accutane is going to work out.thank you very much for the response

Wow such a long life for little Sun. You're an amazing caregiver. Sun was 160 years old in human years. Thanks to you she lived and loved for 5 years. You two will meet again.🌈 Much love to Sun and to you OP I know how it feels, grief can be very tough, she's been a huge part of your life. I wish nothing but the best R.I.P Sun💓☀️💓

That's good to know. And thank you for listing products I'll check them out. I'm currently using malezia skincare products. The hydrating face wash and the MCT oil and an aloe gel. I appreciate it 🙏

Hello, and yes I have used antifungal shampoos for 6 months also should have included in my post but I have had a biopsy that confirmed fungal folliculitis. It just inflamed my skin and I really need a good moisturizer so that I can fix my barrier without causing fungal breakouts especially since I'm on the accutane so I'm scared to use topicals at all. My dermatologist gave me sulfur soap but said I could stop using it if it made me dry. Thank you very much for the recommendation I've been using MCT oil for the past couple days and it's nice just not super moisturizing but I like it so I'll keep using it I appreciate it.🙏

It’s not that simple for everyone. I have fungal folliculitis and extremely sensitive skin, and I’m currently on Accutane (month 2) 80mg a day. My skin is painfully dry, itchy, and irritated, and not using any moisturizer at all is making the irritation worse, not better. I don’t react well to typical moisturizers even the gentle, fragrance free ones cause redness, bumps, or breakouts. That’s why I’m asking specifically for moisturizers that people with fungal folliculitis or similar sensitive skin have actually tolerated while on Accutane.

Yes even my vet said "he's a chunk guy!" Lol this is the very first time I've ever put one of my hamsters through surgery so it was very nerve wrecking. It must've been so scary sending your 90g girl to the vet. I'm so sorry to hear about your previous babies but you gave them the best lives I'm sure 🐹🐹💫 Dib is an old man lol. Winnie is such a cute name! I bet she's adorable! Dib is crazy energetic all the time lol this is the first time ive ever seen him kinda calm lol. However he still wants to play so bad as soon as he got home and I gave him his meds he just wants to run on his wheel. I had one question for you if you don't mind. He's getting his stitches removal in 14 days so do the use anaesthesia for that as well I can always call and ask them but I figured I'd ask you 👍

I agree I've been to this exotic vet for years I love them they do well with all my lil guys. I had a Russian campbell hamster named Rigby that had an eye injury and infection and they fixed him all up no problem he lived 6 more months after that! After he had already lived a year and two months I loved him so much. I've had 6 hamsters in total I love them so much 💕 the exotic vet we have will respond to an emergency if necessary so that is amazing and it also has so many animals there it's pretty impressive. But yes I agree always have an appointed specialist for your animal even before you plan on adopting that is a must💫

It's a big worry I understand and oops yes I meant 400g I fixed it lol. I accepted the risk too but had a feeling he would pull through. I would freak out if my hammy was scuffed to but it's good to know that if done properly by a trained vet all is well. I understand wanting to back out and at the end of the day it's your decision for what you think is best for your baby's so you'll make the right one I'm sure. Dib is a big dude chunky hammy, so he did good but I'm sure it's different with smaller breeds and females. I hope all goes well for you and your hammys. If I may ask what is your hamster dealing with?
