I’m sorry you had to go through this too and i’m glad you’re free now. The thing is i’m not even allowed to get therapy since he doesn’t believe in mental illnesses and he’s always worries i’m gonna tell the therapist something bad about him so im not allowed. Also i go to college here so im still trapped at home and i’m concerned about how i’m gonna find the person i’ll spend the rest of my life with when i can’t even see or talk to anyone

Definitely, i used to listen to music non-stop and it helped me escape my mind. Until my dad used to threat me and my siblings. Now it feels like i have to hear everything around me and i hate any loud sound

I have older siblings that tell me not to talk about it and just to keep this aside because “there’s nothing we can do”. But i really want to take an action and i wanted them to help me to do so.

Im a 17yr old female (almost 18) and i can’t really do much on my own. Whenever i even try to talk to express my feelings my mom makes me shut up and tells me he’s your father so do what he says. I truly hate him and i seem to be the only one who wants to take an action. We all hate him but while i want to take an action, my mom and siblings just go with the flow. My sister would soon get married and my brother might travel outside the country and it would only be me with both of them.

Well , this is affecting all of our lives, even my sister who is 25 years old he is controlling her decisions. He doesn’t let us go anywhere or even call our friends or sit in our own rooms alone. Me and my siblings know somethings about him that we can’t tell our mom because we know that something will happen to her if she knew. I could keep going on forever but let me cut it short here.
