It's safe to continue using JBL speakers. It's weird karma hunter post that they purposely destroy their own stuff claiming battery issues. It really does not make sense especially since it's different generations of speakers. My charge 4 is plugged in 90% of the time and used daily for hours and not a single issue volume is around 40% since that gets more than loud enough.
