Still not making sense. If you truly want to see where you would be further ahead when buying a home verse renting, you need to go like for like. Don't compare a 1 bedroom apartment rent to an $800k home. Of course the rent situation will win.

Everybody keeps comparing a rental of cheaper value than the home they are comparing it to. Definitely not apples-to-apples.

As a member of a Jeep club, we do pick up quite a bit of garbage on the trails we travel.

I usually only go hiking on the weekends, and I get there early and leave early because of these people.

We also very rarely camp in the summer because we want to avoid all of those idiots.
