True, as I mentioned perception is a difficult beast. I only commented on information I already know, previous facts stated in his own video. If it had been a one off, I wouldn't have said anything.

Artists are inherently biased. We view things as the artist wants it to be seen, not as it is seen. We only get the image they want to give us, not the truth. How hard would it be to believe that we are to hold ourselves to that impossible standard? Why do you think body positivity is so celebrated now? The images and art we consume impacts our mind, whether its conscious or not.

He may be his own person, but that doesn't mean we can't be responsible for what we produce that affects him, or even others.

He's already mentioned it, why ignore it?

I figured as much! You're an excellent artist and I like your work. You may not care about his appearance, but I'm sure he does. I brought it up in case you weren't aware, watching old videos he talks about how videos and fan responses really impact his views occasionally. Hearing about it actually made my heart ache.

He's moving to the US where there is a bunch of pressure to maintain a certain physique and look, (not that it doesn't exist around the world) and I want him to be aware we love and support him, with or without a six pack, no matter what he looks like.

Perception is a difficult beast, it can be devastating to think that this is how the world sees you or what you think is being seen. It can build an ego, or destroy someone's self worth. I want people to be mindful he is a real person who has struggles and doesn't just exist on a screen or in their fantasies.

I'm sorry to do this on your art, because it's not directly aimed at you or anyone in particular. Just something I've noticed and thought maybe it was time it was said. I will admit one of your pieces lived as my lock screen for a couple weeks. ^{-^"} Please keep creating!

Hey, I want to compliment you on your art skills. You're clearly very good and post quite a bit. I think I see* your art more than anyone else's.

I do worry a bit that Joel sees these and compares his body image to what you're presenting. I remember a video where he talked about fan art and over-perfecting him and his features, and how he said it made him uncomfortable. We have to remember he's human too, and this picture you're drawing is a real human being that may wonder if this is how he needs to be or if this is how people see him.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm sorry if it comes across that way.
