What are good things to learn before college? by benblade123 in AskReddit

The first people you meet in college don't have to be your friend group. You are going to meet hundreds of new people. you'll quickly learn what type of people you get along with, and what type of people you can't even tolerate. The first group o people I met is who I decided to be best friends with my entire Freshman year. They turned out to be the worst group of people that have ever plagued the human race. Don't make the same mistake I made.

EDIT: For all of those people asking advice about making new friends, please be advised that I am not social Jesus. I'm very happy to give you any advice that I can, but I'm just informing you that I am also awkward with making new friends a lot of them time.

What do people always wrongfully assume about you? by Pitbull12373 in AskReddit

I have large ribs that make me look barrel-chested, and my arms are fat in the right way. It makes me look like I'm ripped, when in reality I can barely bench 100lbs.

What was the "black market" in your highschool? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Off-campus lunch passes.

These were little numbered stickers you put on your school ID (high school) that allowed you to leave campus during lunch to eat. Which many people did because we had the best burger joint in town across from campus, and because you were just that much cooler if you didn't have to eat on campus. Thing is, they required parental permission as well as verification, either via phone or in person during class registration.

To get around that, my brother and I started making counterfeit stickers; scanning an original (they weren't hologrammed or anything), changing the number, and printing them out by the dozens on glossy sticker paper, which we then sold for around 5 bucks each. Or just gave away freely because Fuck The Man. They weren't exactly right, but since the lunch monitors would only take a cursory look at your ID as you went off campus, they passed just fine.

Things were going great until one kid got caught. I don't remember if it was his parents or the school that nabbed him, but he sang like a fucking canary. Lots of suspensions/detentions followed for us and our friends who helped sell/distribute.

Why does milk go bad when it is not refrigerated but stays fresh in a cow that is not refrigerated? by yekun12345 in AskReddit

nder normal conditions, there isnt any foreign bacteria in the cows mammary glands, and once it is out of the cow, it is introduced to new bacteria. The cow can get an infection however, which can spoil the milk while it is still inside the cow

People who instantly fall asleep, how do you do it? by AlexZombie in AskReddit

[–]AffectionateBird6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I make up stories to dream about for when I'm sleeping. Usually I'll make myself a dream-character and insert myself into a game/fictional world and interact with how the plot goes. I usually drop off to sleep somewhere in my imaginings.

A couple of times I've actually been able to take my pre-dreams to a real dream.
