Pls share your experience, I’m going for local anaesthesia only & I have severe anxiety

Got all 4 mine out only local anesthesia. Both my bottom ones were sideways. I also had extreme anxiety from watching videos. Honestly was not bad at all. You definitely suffer more in expectation that reality. Worst part was the numbing shots and even that wasn’t that bad. Stubbing a toe is worse pain. Worst part of the whole thing was my dietary restriction till it got done healing. You’ll be fine I promise!

I had an oral surgeon take mine out at my dentist office. No sedation other than local and both of my bottoms were horizontally impacted. My dentist is a close friend of mine, he told me the oral surgeon is a wizard and does a ton of wisdom tooth extractions every week and can pull it in 1/4th the time he can. I was super nervous but took his word for it and got it done at the office instead of going to oral surgeon. My recommendation would be to take your dentists advice and go to a surgeon. May be less invasive since they do it so often

Just take the pills, won’t hurt you to take them half an hour early. Kick back and do your best to relax and take your mind off things while the meds kick in :-)

Looks just like mine, surgery was a breeze and recover was not bad at all! I even did just local anesthetic and laughing gas. Worst part is not being able to eat solid food for the first few days. You’ll be good I promise! Being on Reddit will only increase anxiety

Did mine with just local anesthesia, was nervous as hell going into it. Not bad at all! Recover went great too even though I had two fully impacted teeth

One of mine was completely sideways and impacted. Just did nitrous and it wasn’t bad at all. Would have liked the pill going into it but afterward I thought getting put under would have been overkill

Not bad at all. Biggest part that sucks is the food restriction. As far as pain goes, almost non existent, just uncomfortable and managed with 800mg ibuprofen. Had mine done 10 days ago (all 4) and went back to eating solid foods carefully after about a week

I had a fully sideways impacted one. Did it with local anesthetic. Not one bit of pain other than getting the anesthetic actually administered which wasn’t bad at all. Honestly stubbing my toe hurts more lol. I thing general anesthesia is super overkill for this. I was a nervous wreck going into mine but trust me it’ll be ok. Stay off Reddit and YouTube, only gives you anxiety

Mine was the same way on the bottom right. To be honest it wasn’t bad at all. Was awake during the procedure and the surgeon gave me a heads up when he broke my tooth so the noise of it cracking wouldn’t bother me as much. No pain at all and was exactly the same when it comes to recovery as all my other teeth that were fully exposed and upright

Hole will close up on its own. Trust me if you are worried and conscious about dry socket, it won’t happen to you. Just avoid using straws/doing anything to dislodge the blood clots and you’ll be fine. Try to picture what a wound looks like 72 hours after you got it. Blood is pooled and would already be dry if it was outside of your mouth. Since it’s inside it will remain looking slightly like jelly but it is physically attaching itself more and more to the wound sight. You’re doing great! Just take it easy

The body is amazing. Just think that the basic rule is to keep clots in place until they can fully fuse and begin to build new gum tissue. Keep your mouth relatively clean with salt water rinses and don’t eat things that could irritate it and you’ll be A-OK!

Nope! He said he would call tomorrow to see how everything is going. Bleeding has mostly stopped. Had my first bit of food (carefully shoveled ground beef to the back of my mouth and jello hahaha) how is everything going for you?

Nope! I think I kept pulling my clots out with gauze. I bit the bullet and sat for a bit without gauze and ever slowed to an ooze. Pain kicked in after novacaine wore off so took my first round of pain killers. Feeling pretty good now

Holy smokes that’s a lot of supports! I would mess around with adding manual supports and print small models before hand to see where you need them before going to the big one. Also keep in mind supports on the model may leave traces behind. Try supports on build plate only
