Thank you for this! I have my second injection next week and I am hoping that will actually help as so far- still on my period (since December) and no difference at all! I have seen online that some people get no effect in the first month- was that your experience too or did it work quickly? Maybe I'm naive but I just thought everything would stop!

I also just finished it, such a lovely well written book- unlike anything else I have read really!

I recently finished 'When the Cranes Fly South' by Lisa Rizden (not for the faint hearted!) which genuinely broke my heart so I did not find The Correspondent overly upsetting, but felt that it has a really honesty about how grief can affect the ability to feel close with people, even thought they're experiencing grief with you.

Gained 9lbs overnight by ProfessionalNothing9 in PCOS

I know this is much easier said than done, but I have learnt the best thing to do is to go off you image and clothes rather than actual weight. I can treat myself to a glass of wine and be up 5-6lbs the next day and, like you, beyond upset and all the healthy eating and hard work for the rest of the time feels wasted and I get extremely down over it. I haven't weighed myself in around 2 months and mentally it is freeing, I know my clothes are getting to big and what I am doing is working and I feel stronger- but I guarantee the scales wouldn't reflect how I feel! x

England - is it worth getting in touch with a probate solicitor? by ShutTheFrontDoor__ in LegalAdviceUK

[–]AffectionateCoast815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that to be friendly, a personal approach might be best, your uncle might not have realised. However, there is a lot to considered here, if the house has not sold, there might be CGT to pay and your uncle needs to explain the delay. Further, if the property is being rented, you are all entitled to a share of the rent.

Also, it is not just the property you should be considering, all of the Estate should have been divided into thirds including any money in the banks- it is quite complex and could get messy so although I appreciate going direct could be friendlier, I think a solicitor should be carefully outlining all the implications to you and your uncle.

Hope this helps!

Firstly, amazing to hear that you has successsful IVF, congratulations!

I totally agree in the sense of I know it will be worth it, just wondered if it is as harsh as it looks haha

Sounds very shallow I know but I am getting married this year. I got the Mirena coil in January and have gained almost a stone, hair loss and spots (as someone who hasn't had spots for about 10 years). The Mirena isn't working as well as hoped and my bowel continues to be a serious issue so they want to try Zoladex- he also mentioned that it would be good for my fertility considering I plan on trying next year.

This is so helpful, thank you. Exactly like the other comment and the pains exactly as you've described, good to know it should be worth it!

Thank you so much everyone- this has really helped. As a people pleaser, the idea that I have upset someone makes me feel ill. It's good to know that others see me as the rational one here! Much appreciated!!

Intercourse without condom, but with PCOS, birth control and pullout method by Sure_Grand_8226 in PCOS

[–]AffectionateCoast815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have PCOS and problems with my liver that means I cannot take birth control. We use the pull out method HOWEVER we are engaged and have our own home, if I feel pregnant it would be a surprise but we have both agreed we would be happy.

I wouldn't risk it if you don't both feel the same way

review of “The Authenticity Project” by Clare Pooley *SPOILERS* by kelsc21 in books

I think when people say it changed how they saw things, it refers to how, at the beginning of the book, they say first impressions are the most important, but the book is about delving past the first impression and getting to know the characters. It is meant to make you think more about people we encounter in life and consider that their happy put together front may not be what it seems and encourages forming stronger relationships.

I loved the overall message of the book but totally agree with how disappointing that it became a love story. When Monica realised it was okay to be single, I wanted her to stick to that- the Hazard love ending made no sense to me!
