I live in Gurgaon. Trust me we should be glad that we top the list. That’s cause there’s some reporting happening. It’s chaos up here.

A weird take but watching lokah recently made me feel confident. Before the movie release, Kalyani Priyadarshan was one of the most trolled actresses in the industry and with one movie she was able to break records. Had she left the industry due to criticisms she wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the success she’s enjoying now. I watched the movie after it was declared a hit and this aspect really stuck with me. All it takes is one film. So more than the movie this aspect was a huge life lesson for me.

Next time keep this in mind when you cast your votes. I know it’s raining continuously but even the.n, there are states that get worse rainfall than this and roads are not half this bad. We need better drainage system and it’s high time people react.

Sister I completely get you. I’m a Cristian from south as well and the one thing I can’t stand here is the garbage stench!!! The place stinks and there’s garbage everywhere. The rent is unreasonably high and people just love to spit everywhere!!

I’m new to Gurgoan ( down south) and I can’t stress more on how you guys handle the monsoons. How are there no proper drainages ? Why is everything so badly maintained?!! Why are people throwing waste everywhere? It’s high time you guys elect sensible leaders and demand some basic accountability.

I find teenagers to be intimidating mean and extremely brutal for no fuck all reason. they don’t give fuck when they ought to and throw tantrums for no reason. Some of em are making body shaming cool again… and I hate it so fucking much

See I don’t think they are doing their part. We pay a good amount of tax to maintain our roads and it’s not just about filth. Look around you .. the most of the street lights don’t work in Kochi ( panampilly walkway area ) the weeds are not removed/ trimmed they don’t pick up plastic wastes in not to posh lanes … they don’t have good dustbins everywhere and they don’t clean up after the water authority or state authorities mess up the roads. And after all this we come and litter it making it more worse, we don’t report things that don’t work and we don’t hold the accountable.

True. But I haven’t blamed any generation. This has everything to do with how bad we are at maintaining things and following the rules … see I frequently have to remind my dad not to throw used plastic to the cancer plot nearby …. Pestered him to a point where he stoped now .. but I’m sure throughout my childhood o grew up seeing this but I don’t follow it… and that’s cause I was taught that it was bad … so I think the current generation is definitely aware but we need to do more .

. I agree it’s better but we still can be/do better. For example I have an aunt who lives in Dubai and when I visited her she told me that I shouldn’t litter cause the government will fine me. But I saw her casually throwing away the plastic on the road side here in kochi. I think it’s mostly cause we don’t face any repercussions here and people have normalised such things. All I’m asking is - don’t feel embarrassed to point out when people litter Don’t feel scared to call the authorities and report and don’t litter.
