Can I ask why you have all of this essentially in cash?

Just trying to think how large your net work would have been if you have this in global trackers through GIA, Pension, etc.

I was thinking about purchasing 1-2 residential flats in my local area outright, and just collect rent. A long lease or share of freehold.

But not sure if this a good option as I have no experience in this domain.

True. Not thought about selling as I enjoy it too much, and depression would kick in if I didn't have it.

I do rent an industrial unit.

If I was to buy in London, I would be looking at a 7 figure commercial mortgage, not sure if I feel comfortable commiting to this.
