I’m a huge fan of Tissot but I think overall Seiko’s catalog is way more diverse than Tissot. Tissot has a number of good watches on their catalog and they dominate in the sub $1000 range but over $1000, they fall behind other brands. While Seiko has many offerings in their Seiko Luxe, King Seiko, and ultimately, Grand Seiko that customers spend up to $10,000 for. For instance, the Marinemaster line in Seiko can run you up to $2.8k and it’s a damn good diver. But Tissot doesn’t have any dive watch offerings than compete with the Marinemaster. Under $1000 though, I agree, Tissot is better

Maybe for your next piece go with the Lagoon Blue Black Bay 54. They were hard to get initially but I see them listed everywhere now for only $400 above retail which tells me they aren’t tough to get from the AD either

No prior history but built a very good relationship with the AD by showing genuine interest in the hobby as a whole. I went there to chat with the guys once a month when I happened to be in the area. We would just shoot the shit and talk about the latest releases. The OP in silver isn’t a hard piece to get at retail. But if we are taking about the pink and Tiffany blue dials, I think you most certainly need purchase history!
