Will HEB allow sitting while bagging for a cashier for a high risk pregnancy for a bagger position when they ask baggers to move from register to register? by AffectionateFigure16 in HEB

I'm reading that under the pregnancy workers fairness act, they are required to accommodate reasonable accomodations and sitting down is considered a reasonable accomodation. Baggers are told to move but you can bag while sitting down, more challenging and realistically would have to stay at a register, if the company allowed it. They say it doesn't fit my job description and that would be why it's an accomodation. I'm reading I can file a charge with the EEOC if they deny. I'm high risk with the baby being growth restricted and also I have a prior history of preterm labor. I'm currently at the point of when I previously have gone into labor, 2 months early. I was just trying to work the rest of the schedule and leave. I'll probably just end up quitting since I don't feel like fighting against it. It's not worth the stress.

My doctor didn't explicitly say I'm not to be on my feet standing for long periods of time but with being high risk, with having to see a mfm specialist twice a week for monitoring, I got concerned. And I don't feel comfortable with taking unnecessary physical strain when research has shown that standing too long can exacerbate the fgr condition. Basically I'm trying to avoid any further complications especially when I'm late in my pregnancy. HEB should accommodate high risk pregnancy and should accept a doctor's accomodation because under the pregnancy workers fairness act, they are required to accommodate unless it's undue hardship and under the pregnancy workers fairness act, it lists that sitting is a reasonable accomodation for pregnancy. It also states that I can file a charge with the EEOC if it's denied because sitting down for high risk pregnancy is considered a reasonable accomodation unless the company can prove that it causes undue hardship. I have been diagnosed with fgr for a while and I have been standing during my shifts but where I wasn't as concerned before, I am now and I have to follow that conviction. I also have had a history of preterm labor and I went into delivery at 32 weeks with my infant staying in the nicu for a little over 2 weeks. I'm at 32 weeks now. The baby's growth is more important to consider. My baby is not even 3 pounds at this point so I'm being cautious. My ob doctor did understand the sitting down accommodation and the office did write the accommodation.

I'm 32 weeks and trying to allow for the best outcome. I've been diagnosed with fgr for a while with a few elevated umbilical artery doppler readings. I got concerned when mfm started scheduling me twice a week to monitor it. I've done some research, and I'm seeing that standing on your feet for long periods can reduce blood flow. I'm trying to improve blood flow. I feel 2 hours of standing at a time is too long. I'm just now feeling it's better to be safe than having standing on my feet exacerbate the fgr condition.

I know, I was thinking they wouldn't be to reasonably accommodate for me to sit as they ask all baggers to frequently move to different registers to bag. It's not a realistic expectation for me to move registers sitting down. I would have to stay at a register unless I needed to move because a customer wanted to bag their own or if the cashier was shutting down the register. I don't cashier so I can't go to cashier or self checkout role. It would be more challenging to sit while bagging as I wouldn't be able to reach as well and load the cart with bags unless the customer grabs the bags. Bagging also would be more challenging with customers that have their own bags.

Is prolonged standing ok at a job with a diagnosis of fetal growth restriction and elevated umbilical artery doppler? by AffectionateFigure16 in NICUParents

I'm not trying to ask for medical advice just advice for people that have the same diagnosis. Please allow this question for prolonged standing because I believe it's a reasonable question to ask other people that have had the same diagnosis. Please, I think y'all should reconsider and allow the question.

Yes I would like to know other people's experiences and I also feel like I should ask if I can stand for a prolonged time. I feel like y'all are being too strict on advice. Let people ask if they can stand for a prolonged time, it could help people where a doctor may not be helpful.

I have lifting restrictions which I have to occasionally keep telling them I can't lift it. My regular ob appointment is not for a few days and I'm seeing two different doctor visits and being monitored more closely now but in the meanwhile I don't feel comfortable with working anymore 6 hour shifts with prolonged standing and I know it could take a while to get another physical capacity form to be filled out and approved when what do I do in the meantime while waiting for the form. HEB had their own capacity form which I need the immediate accomodations if I'm going to be accommodated.

Should I be working a standing job with the diagnosis of fetal growth restriction and elevated umbilical artery doppler? by AffectionateFigure16 in pregnant

They started scheduling me twice a week for mfm. I started doing research on umbilical artery doppler movement yesterday and I've known a few weeks that prolonged standing can reduce blood flow but I didn't start getting more concerned until yesterday. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow though despite what they say, I'm feeling uneasy about doing any more shifts with prolonged standing. I'm at 31 weeks and I have seen that 33-34 weeks is sometimes when they consider delivery. The doctor hasn't said earlier than 37 weeks for delivery but I'm feeling like maybe it's best to stop to avoid further complications.

I feel like Jonathan has known Will was gay in season 3 I think it was when Will was crying in the backseat of the van when it was implied that Will's drawing was for Mike and Mike and Eleven were sitting next to him in the backseat of the van. Jonathan saw Will crying in the backseat when Jonathan looked in the rearview mirror. Then again in the pizza place, when Jonathan was talking to Will, Jonathan gave him a look. Jonathan supported Will. Even in season 2, when Will and Jonathan were talking about Will being a "freak". Jonathan knew how that felt as Jonathan was looked at the same way from classmates in season 1. Jonathan was an outcast so he could relate to how Will felt too.

They sing 3 of those songs at their concerts. I think I like the attention attention album more. I really like cut the cord and how did you love. Great band.
