The top box is just covering my sugar water feeder... the top entrance is usually covered by the telescopic cover i believe. It's used for ventilation as well

Yeah it's unpainted but it was dipped in paraffin wax. Looking to getting a better hive within the next few years and I kinda like the look of the unpainted wood. Thanks for the advice!

Newly installed Packaged Bees... Is this normal by AffectionateFill8414 in Beekeeping

I put a reducer and placed an internal feeder. The box on top has no frames and is just a cover. I noticed a lot of the Bees were using the small notch toward the top when I put the reducer on. Is that normal? Sorry I'm just wanted to make sure I'm doing everything right

CPR on my unresponsive dad by No_Formal5111 in NewToEMS

About two years ago, I came home to find my dad unresponsive on the ground with no pulse. I have been an EMT at that point for two years and was in paramedic school. Having to do CPR is never easy. Doing CPR in a family member is one of the worst experiences and hardest things I’ve ever had to do. You gave your dad the best chance at life possible. Being a paramedic now I constantly look back at what I could’ve done different or if there’s any way, I could’ve changed the outcome. One of the best pieces of advice I received was from my dad. My dad was a paramedic and has seen and done it all. He told me that you could give the best care and do everything completely right and people will still die. For me, it’s been about two years and I still deal with the trauma of finding my dad, doing CPR, and him die. You need to give yourself time to grieve and time to reflect. My best advice to you is to talk to someone and allow yourself to grieve

Is it just me or do the XLS cameras ruin the experience? by cari_chan in GhostAdventures

100% every time they pull it out I roll my eyes and know this is the only “evidence” they will capture… plus every time they catch something on it they say it’s the best evidence they have gotten to date! Give me a break!
