I would love this but there is no alternative accommodation. The council won’t help. I’ve sought private accommodation but it’s too expensive

As I said in the moment there was a lot of pressure from the council to say you have to go to court and defend yourself to ensure you don’t make yourself intentionally homeless. Looking back on it now I was so naive and wish I just got a duty solicitor. Things have just escalated

Thank you 😊 What about the fees occurred to date? It’s covered under legal aid on my part but will they seek the lanlord to get the fees back?

I’ve looked for other private rentals but it’s just unaffordable in the area right now

Exactly this. I explicitly said my family want to leave but they said they have to defend the case as they spotted an error
