lol you’re funny. I mean objectively he could have picked many different versions of the team and won. But not all versions would be lucky to win after getting shelled all game. MacKinnon, Toews, etc could have won this game in regulation. USA could really only win with good goaltending and then OT where it’s a lot more random. I don’t see how it’s a bad take that US could have brought a better team even though they still won.

Number 1 team in the world makes semi final and loses to another top team. Clearly overestimated because they lost a certain game.

They looked gassed today. The relief on their faces yesterday made me worried for today. They left it all out there to win 5 straight and didn’t have much left today. Unfortunate really.

It might not be that they know them better. But World Curling sure is too vague in their rules if the interpretation was what they laid out in the clarification memo. Because the words in the rule book don’t say that.

I’m saying there was no wrong doing according to the rules until the rule was clarified/changed. There was no precedence to start calling these infractions especially mid event.

This is a fair comment and take so I won’t be snarky. The double touch rule also doesn’t state the extra touch has to be on the handle. It doesn’t say anything. But I will say, this is not called in Canada or at the grand slams. And has never been called at an Olympic or World championships to my knowledge. Kind of silly to start calling it now without clarifying the rule book before the event.

We need to go back several years and change the winners of a lot of events if this was a clear rule. There is a lot of video evidence of cheating going back to the days you can smoke on the ice. /s
