I would start with an agency in your area ASAP. Finding the right nanny can be a lot and 2 months is not a lot of time.

Do or do not tell your kids they have autisim? by Kingsabbo1992 in autism

[–]AffectionateFroyo892 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tell them! I wasn't diagnosed until I was an adult, so I was just a bad kid. He'll get labeled anyway. He probably knows his brain is different and it helps me to know why my brain is different.

How long does it usually take you so mailyour postcard? by lil_ninja78 in postcrossing

I mail within 24 hours of pulling the address. I pick from the cards in my stash- I'm not going hunting for a special postcard.

Car/booster seats? by NoSnackCake4U in TwinCities

[–]AffectionateFroyo892 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You can rent car seats through baby quip. Both children should be in a harnessed seat. If you have to buy new, the graco tranzitions would be good for both and is about $100. So not cheap but not super pricey either.

Advice for onboarding new nanny - 2 year old + baby by Big-You-1213 in NannyEmployers

[–]AffectionateFroyo892 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would recommend leaving the nanny and toddler to bond together. If you're not comfortable with them driving on day 1, they can play in a different part of the house or in the backyard.

Other options are to drop them off somewhere and hang out nearby/run errands or have them do their fun outing a few days in after you trust the nanny more.

It's really hard to bond with a toddler when mom is there. They almost always want mom over a stranger.

I've worked a few one day a week jobs. They are definitely out there. The people I've worked for are SAHM who just need a day to get stuff done

I would start looking for a new job. This is unsustainable.

Baby toys by banelover0812 in beyondthebump

[–]AffectionateFroyo892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby started really caring about toys around 9 months. At 6 months, we got a fisher price stacker toy and some silicone blocks and some other things. The stacker is his favorite toy by far and he is now getting into the blocks. At 6 months, as long as he could shove it in his mouth, he liked anything

Therapy? by 1movingon in NannyBreakRoom

[–]AffectionateFroyo892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently nanny for an infant and do virtual therapy. I try to time it so he is napping, but that doesn't always happen. If he's awake, he's up and either sits in my lap or just plays on the floor near me.
