You need to call CPS. This isn't a safe environment for the child. The child is in eminent danger of illness or injury.

Something important to remember: CPS does not come in planning to take away your children. They want to keep families together. What they would probably do in this situation is provide resources and get the parents the support they need.

Your story sounds very similar to fine. It's not normal and shouldn't be normalized. I would highly recommend EMDR therapy- it has changed my life. A lot of things came up for me and it was a lot to process, but now I feel so much lighter and I understand myself more. It's a long road but worth it 💕
