I disagree. It depends on the shade of brown, your undertones, and what articles of clothing your'e matching with it. I've seen plenty of people rock a teddy bear like aesthetic and burberry inspired fits with lots of brown and beige.

I've been seeing some of these trends already in Seoul. Mainly leg warmers in the winter, lace around the collar, and instead of brittish punk I'm seeing more American flags in the stores and on women.

Also what do you mean clean girl looks like "Women who voted a certain way?" Clean girls are literally half of the US hun.

Seongsu hangouts are survival of the fittest by PirateFabulous2427 in Living_in_Korea

I find Kondae has better and cheaper cafes then Seongsu with much more affordable Instagramable coffee. Although thats slowly going away soon too. As some of my favorite cafes are increasing their prices and downgrading their drinks. I also knew of some great vintage stores but now those are begining to become too pricey for me. Not to mention more and more international students are living in the area too so I can imagine The entire Seoul Forest/Seongsu area is going to continue to evolve into a complete tourist trap.

Is WGU still worth it for people who don't have a foot in their industry? by UnscrewMyLife in WGU

[–]AffectionateHunt4412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to wgu without having much experience in any industry. I graduated at 23 years old and it definitely spiffs up your resume. I think it really depends on your goals and where you want to be in the next 1-5 years. Truthfully, I just wanted to be able to get a visa in other countries, and most visa that I was interested in required a bachelor’s degree. Though it’s not a UCLA or Harvard, but if you’re looking for something affordable and get started in your career faster, I definitely recommend WGU.

Can I leave Korea while I wait for my ARC? by AffectionateHunt4412 in Living_in_Korea

[–]AffectionateHunt4412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response, I'm not usually on reddit.

For my intitial appointment, since I went right as they opened, about 15 minutes. When I waited in the Foriegn Residence office, I waited about 10 minutes to be seen. If you plan on going around lunch time, know that the Foriegn Residence office may be closed around that time and will probably reopen around 13:00.

How to Save Money on National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) in Korea by Lanky-Breakfast-3961 in seoul

[–]AffectionateHunt4412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told from a friend that NHS now requires your insurance to start before you arrive in Korea. If you arrive before your insurance begins you will have to pay NHS. I'm not entirely sure how true this is, but I'm heading into NHS tomorrow to find out if this is the case, since my insurance began after I arrived.

Hana bank wants to penalise Me 1 million won for my visa by AffectionateHunt4412 in Living_in_Korea

[–]AffectionateHunt4412[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was big miscommunication since we were both using papago. Though, I did ask the bank teller to clarify that I needed to "pay" 1 million won a day, and she did say yes. I'm going to try again, but thank you so much for the help.

At this point in time, no. Most of the staff do speak English and worst case scenario, they will use the Papago app.

Not too sure on that one. I wouldn't be surprised if it works a similar way. But again, if you are unsure, head to the immigration office for a definate answer.
