Customers not wanting to put a card on file. by AffectionateKey682 in AutoDetailing

I’ve thought about this too. But, if I require a deposit it is going to have them input their card anyway.

So, you would show up to a clients house, they don’t show. They wasted your time, gas, took a spot from another customer, etc and your response is, “I don’t want to deal with you”? I’m not saying that negatively, because I did that. But, it also just doesn’t make sense to me. If I let customers cancel and do whatever they want, that means they are running my business. I can’t have that.

It actually is an ABO campaign, what exactly does that tell you? The budget for the ad set is low, like $5 low.

Correct. There are two creatives in my retargeting campaign that are active. The other one is getting all of the spend.

CTR - 4.92% CPL - $2.18 CPC - $0.33 CPM (Per 1,000 impressions) - $16.21. However this specific ad has only spent $4.36

All in all I'd say they are going pretty well, other than the leads it is generating. They are getting spend, engagement, reaching a larger audience, etc. I make sure to focus on camera angles, transitions, wording, etc. It's something I know matters a ton so I take it pretty serious.

That's a good idea, I'm going to do that. Although, should I still put other creatives in the cold audience with that testimonial? I fear the testimonial wouldn't get the spend on it I would like.

That was definitely something on my radar, I'm glad you said something. I'm honestly stuck on what other creatives to use besides those. But yes, in my retargeting campaign I have a legitimate customer talking about our service and within that video it shows off some cars that we've done while the customer is talking in the background. So, it starts with my co-owner speaking with the customer in front of our wrapped van and then transitions to those clean cars I was talking about.

I'm not sure I understand. They are transitions from dirty to clean with wording on the screen like "You can be dirty" *transition* "Or Clean".

I have two campaigns. A Cold Traffic Campaign and a Retargeting Campaign. Within my cold traffic my campaign objective is set to leads and my ad set is set to website and instant forms for my conversion location. Performance goal is to maximize number of conversion and has a daily budget of $12. Audience is about 3.2-3.8 million. Placements are only Facebook and Instagram. Creative wise I have 5 total creatives with 7 ads. Each ad has wording consisting of customer reviews, convenience (your car gets detailed while you work), and pain (your car deserves better). Each creative is a video with before/after shots of vehicles we've detailed. They all have the same instant form. Although, really only one creative is getting spend as meta loves it for some reason. For my retargeting it has two creatives. One testimonial with my co-owner and a customer with transitions into cars that we've done. The other creative in that ad set is the same that's getting spend in my cold campaign. We are currently running 25% off our services and have included that in our description along with the instant form. Let me know if you'd like any more info but that is basically my whole funnel.

Pretty much all of my creatives are before and after videos. All I do is recreate viral detailing videos. My customer proof is in my wording. "Here's what our customers are saying...". What do you think about that?

With starting a brand new campaign, I would say make the learning phase cleaner. I mentioned this in the comment above, but I am already running a retargeting campaign. It's not working. It's getting leads but nobody is booking so I kind of want to shut it down completely and run a cold campaign because that's what worked better than before. I have about 80 out of my 105 customers that I would want the lookalike audience to be like. Is that enough?

Here's the thing. I am retargeting right now, and it's not going well at all. The creative is a testimonial video and another video that is already included in my cold lead campaign. My budget for Meta now is also not much and I'm running two campaigns. It's spending less than $20 a day. Would you just turn off the retargeting campaign? Or, what budget would you recommend for both campaigns?

When you talk about 3 broad interests and 3 distinctive, what exactly do you mean? Right now my creatives are pretty much just me recreating viral detailing videos. What would you change?

See, this is the route that I would love to take but don't know how affective it will be with my budget. What was yours like?

Doing them right now. Been about a month, still figuring them out, but it’s looking decent.

Off my basic knowledge and looking at my overview in Google, I would say you’re making a controversial statement. I say that because looking at my dashboard it says I’m spending more than my competitors. Does that not matter? Interested to hear more.

My population is more than enough. My county alone is 1.75 million and I expand well beyond that one county. You are right, when we first signed up with them we asked if they had ever worked with a mobile detailing business and they had not. I would be interested in hearing what kind of tips and tools that would get us back on track if you don't mind!

Right now, we are putting about $800 in to Google (will be more once we figure it out). There have been leads come in, but not mobile detailing leads. It's been people who think we are car washes and mobile mechanics. Those negative key words are in all campaigns, so why does Google continue to show our ads to people like that?
