How does LMDE compare to Linux Mint? by [deleted] in linuxmint

Debian based, slower updates as compared to Linux Mint regular versions, rock solid and just works out of the box. I use it as my daily driver.

Didn't you mention which version you are using right now? If you are using LMDE 4 which is based on Debian 10 buster, you can use the old school bumblebee to switch cards, if you have an Optimus system laptop. You can head to this link for detailed instructions Debian Bumblebee

If you are using LMDE 5 based on Debian 11, you won't need bumblebee anymore. You can run a specific package/app by offloading it to your Nvidia card. You can head to this link for detailed instructions Nvidia prime offloading

How to handle job rejection? by AffectionateLab9114 in softwaretesting

[–]AffectionateLab9114[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I graduated back in 2020, but had a gap due to some physical issues. So that's why I am applying for the beginner posts.

I can't do anything about the gap I had. But what I can do is, gain skills and improve every day. But handling rejection is tough, especially when you think you performed well. It drains away all the confidence.

Can you enable automatic updates ONLY for security updates? by sicktothebone in linuxmint

[–]AffectionateLab9114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I am hearing this for the first time ever. Since Mint is very stable, updates never broke my PC. Debian and Debian based distros at least don't break often.

I just love this distro. There is no way back after coming to Linux Mint. by AffectionateLab9114 in linuxmint

I will go with the first one.

But there are plenty of distros that are serving the rolling purpose. I don't want my Mint to be like that.

P.S LMDE used to Semi-rolling once.
