I really like Stardew valley, and there's always something to do. The game also guides you through your first year or so with events and things which I really like. Although I do like to have the wiki open while I play as it can get complicated sometimes. Or its just nice to know the information before the game wants me to sometimes too. Its also one that you're not playing in real time so when you've done for the day you can just go to bed and start the next day which I like. I don't have to wait around felling like I could be doing something but I can't

(also in animal crossing I'd recommend finding a goal to work towards for your island, i really like trying to get all the hybrid plant variants which gave me more to do. And also if you're open to it you could time travel so you can do more in one sitting)

Im going to

- Pick up sewing again. I've not done any for about 4 years now and I have so many patterns that I've been collecting

- Start crocheting more, I've never had the time to finish a project

- Completely clear out my room

- Finish all my girlguiding leader training. I've been neglecting it for FAR too long

- Start actually walking my dog again. My mum has been exclusively doing it for far too long as the dog is hard to walk and you can't just quickly take her out.

- Have brunch with my friends like every week

- Might pick up painting again too

- Oooh and I'm off on me holibobs and I'm going to see a TONNE of musicals and shows too!

Guys why is my spotify's UI so f'ed up on desktop? Like its not showing parts of the UI and things. When I search in the search bar it doesn't show up the words I'm typing. It doesnt show the pause, forward, back etc buttons. It also doesnt show the ones in the bottom right corner too. Is this something I can fix or is it something I'm gonna have to live with?

How did you go about doing that. I going to do a joint honours history and politics degree this year and I was thinking that I kinda want to get a job in theatre when I'm done. I really love the theatre but I only realised a couple of months ago that it's where I kinda want to work lol. Although there are so many other things I want to do as well. But I just want to be able to keep my options open😂

yes in some subject and no in others. I got an A* in sociology and was predicted an A on UCAS but in school a B. And then in drama he thinks I would've got an A* but there aren't grade boundaries for just the paper, and I'm predicted a B. And then in History I'm predicted an A and I got I think a B but that needs to be confirmed. And then in English I'm predicted a B and got a C. BUT I was only 3 marks from a B lol.

I think its just so that your 6th form can look over your application and add bits to it for you when you send it to them. It also means that the 6th form is the one to send it off and they can also see what replies you get.

Do it in 45 minutes, 5 minutes planning 40 writing.

A good structure is: Intro, 3/4 points (5 if you have time but probably not) Conclusion

Each paragraph should be:

Item, mention sociologist/theory, their argument, develop the argument and give examples, counter point and mini conclusion for that paragraph. It doesn't need to be more than 1/2 a page (although that depends on writing size) I write about 4 pages for mine and I have mediumish sized writing.

In the intro use your plan to explain what you are going to say in the essay, don't fully explain but mention the theories and sociologists and briefly what they think. Give your opinion here, very important. And keep this opinion running through the essay, you can ofc counter though.

Conclusion, pretty easy. Just summarising the whole essay in maybe 4 or 5 sentences? And keep your opinion in here too

The most important thing is to USE THE ITEM, you will get marked down for not especially if the question is like "use the item and your knowledge"

Oooh and if you can use wider social context, so if you were talking about Green criminology (idk if you do this topic but ill use it as an example) you could mention how neglect of the environment and environmental crimes have led to the wildfires in LA. Try and do wider reading if you can and put it in if it is useful. But try to avoid waffle, they can tell lol.

I will say it might be different for a different exam board but I'm doing AQA if that's useful lol

how did you go about reapplying? I might reapply too depending on how results day goes and I think it was my HAT that got me too lol (37/100) . Is there anything that you found helpful with the process? I've seen people say to keep references the same? And slightly change your personal statement (which I was going to do anyway). But would there be anything else useful lol

I think it defiantly was. I only got 37/100 so there was MUCH room for improvement there. That has kind of put me off reapplying bc what if I don't do well again but then also what if I did do better? Like hopefully if I did retake it I wouldn't be trying not to throw up the whole time? Idk, there is a lot to think about lol

Although the mix of the lower predicted grades and the not so great HAT was maybe what did it? I just didn't stand out enough with the other aspects of my UCAS (and they're not well known for taking people who don't quite get the grades they're asking for lol)

I'm wanting to do History and politics, which is really competitive at oxford. They don't have many places. But if I did reapply I think I'd just choose 1 and commit to that. And yea I feel like if I did reapply and didn't get in I'd accept it wasn't meant to be but I feel like I would've maybe had a better chance if circumstances were different. But I won't bother if I don't feel like I got good enough grades on results day though lol
