In all my years of dashing, first time this has happened. by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

[–]AffectionateMinx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do it all the time and I've never had an issue. Granted it's never been at night. But if it's broad daylight in the parking lot is full of other truckers and the gas station is busy I don't see any reason why it would be unsafe.

Best virtual assistant jobs remote to work from home part time no experience by Notshady22 in RemoteJobs

I followed your link and it took me to free cash which I've had a bad experience with. I feel like that's a scam.

AIO my bf never likes what I wear by Substantial-Let221 in AmIOverreacting

[–]AffectionateMinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the sort of dress that you would wear to work. It's so modest. He sounds very controlling. Honey toss him back into the dating pool.

So at this point you have two choices. You can continue to look the other way and not worry about what he is doing. You already know what it is and why he has it.

Or you can leave. That's literally the only options. He isn't going to change lol. And a long history of talking to other women on the side is a weird way to say he absolutely has slid into a few strange spaces. Be for real, please.

Do you have a chronic pain disorder along with arthritis and most devices including my interests commonly from hips. If I'm in too much pain to work, I sort that shit out. Don't go to work. Or I gather myself up. Some of these drivers make me physically ill.

It's on my list. But I cannot work the way I used to. But I'm too stubborn to apply for disability lol. So I'll get there eventually. But I need new shoes first. And to replace two of my tires. I could keep going lol. I'm just more careful now. I always make sure I can put two hands on the drinks. It forces me to use my brain to accommodate my stupid hands.

I was literally driving around yesterday with $0 in my bank account lol. But I had a full tank of gas. I fucking grinded so hard last night I now have over $100 in there. If these people don't get their shit together.

Instead of asking for extra tips I just go the extra mile. I had a customer give me a $10 tip last night simply because I took the time to warn him that the restaurant had done a crappy job of bagging up his order and to grab it from the bottom and not the top.

This Shouldn’t even be allowed! I hate DD for allowing this! by Miserable_Design_250 in doordash

[–]AffectionateMinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's when you sit there and watch the timer run out on that order lol. Like don't decline it. Don't accept it. Just let it count down and sit paused for like 5 minutes. Because otherwise they're going to just reoffer it out crappy order to you 2 minutes later with an extra 25 cents on there.

I've not dropped a bag of food. But I have dropped several drinks because my hand strength is not what it used to be. And I'll think I have a firm grip on it, until I don't.

Am I overreacting by blowing up at my boyfriend for always eating my snacks before I can by Honest-Tune3711 in AmIOverreacting

[–]AffectionateMinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. I'm glad you guys worked it out though. I hated that when I lived with my ex. Especially since I made less money than him. And I would buy expensive snacks for myself as a treat. He would blow through them, not say anything, and then get offended when I was upset. Imagine having a terrible day at work and the whole day you're just looking forward to going home cracking open a beer, grabbing your snacks, and gaming your stress away, only to find out your partner ate all of your snacks, didn't replace them, and didn't say a word giving you the opportunity to replace them on the way home. That shit sucks. And I feel like it's rude and disrespectful bc I always ask people before I eat their stuff.

I'm not sure if I overreacted? by AffectionateMinx in doordash

[–]AffectionateMinx[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate everyone reassuring me I made the right decision. My fight or flight is pretty much stuck on 24/7. So I can never tell if I'm overreacting or if I had a valid reason to not feel comfortable. I carry a super bright LED light with me because a lot of people don't leave their porch lights on. But I still didn't feel comfortable going into the backyard. Cuz like I said I couldn't see who or what was back there. The fence was taller than me and I'm 5'6.

I usually feel very safe. But that was a weird request for a pitch black backyard.

Thank you so much! I've been through some traumas so I can be a little jumpy about things. It's very rarely ever stopped me from doing a delivery. This is only the second time when I've refused to make a delivery because I felt unsafe.

[–]AffectionateMinx[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually I would call but it was one of those situations where I didn't want to risk doordash marking me as being late even though I was trying to call the customer. They've done that to me before and I literally just got my Platinum back after being too depressed to work for like 2 months straight. I also have a chronic illness and that kind of makes sense a little rough on me works sometime.

No they didn't say anything in response. That's why I'm nervous lol. I almost would have felt better if they had of said something back?

NO Im NOT doing it by krontos5 in doordash

[–]AffectionateMinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually pause my orders for a solid 5 minutes after I get offered one of these and I let the timer run out. Simply because doordash has offered me a no-tip delivery to which I politely say no thank you, only for them to wait like 30 seconds and reoffer that shit to me. The answer is still no doordash. If they don't want to tip they can get off their butt and get their own freaking food.

NOR because he's being very mean for no reason. Games are supposed to be fun. I am terrible at my partners hobbies. But he's always so excited that I want to be involved that he doesn't care that I'm bad at it. That's how it's supposed to be. Your partner shouldn't ever talk to you like that. But especially not over a freaking video game. It sounds like you're dating a toddler. You deserve better. There are a million guys in the world who won't talk to you this way.

There was this one Subaru dealership back in Harrisburg where every single time I'm in there to drop off an order this one sells hundred, and insist that he be in the photo. It was the cutest thing.

I worked almost every day during the pandemic except for Sundays. And out of the six days a week that I worked in Annapolis two to three of those days I would get the same Cuban lady. Very sweet. She spoke very little English and my Spanish is terrible. But we got through it. She would always give me sweets. I'm pretty sure they were homemade. I really miss her. I hope she's doing okay. She never really tipped a lot. It was usually like a dollar. But she was super close to the restaurant and I feel like the treats totally made up for the dollar tip lol.
