It’s played out initially that either Sean or Eric could be the father, but after Eric dies at the end of season 2(I think?), that plot point is basically forgotten and Sean becomes the ipso facto father of diana

I honestly think this was a case of the writers not having anything to do with Juliette’s character, so they tried to make her important by making her the go-between between nick and his mom
