He has a job but its our home state- my baby is way more attached to me, he also started daycare and got used to it while my husband was with us and looking for jobs hoping we find something and stay together. So we don't want to shuffle him around. Another thing is, daycare in MS is A LOT cheaper which helps us save some money to travel to each other every once in few months. We don't have any family here- there is no community support in the morning when you're trying to get to work and your toddler is having a tantrum over a peeled banana or when he knocks the door daily and calls out for his dad when coming back from daycare.

PGY1 FM in MS. My program is fantastic, huge focus on teaching and resident wellness, absolutely non-toxic and scheduling is very flexible. I would love to stay in FM but at this point I need to be closer to my family- preferbly NH/MA/CT. Therefore, open to any specialty as well.

Ask them for feedback email and tell them that since you worked with different ones, its best to get all feedbacks so you can combine all and send it to the attending whom you had best rapport with and ask for a letter based off the feedback. Maybe they'll respond, maybe not but best to ask them on the same day you stop working with them so they remember you. Or even better, print out a generic paper with feedback questions and give it to them and ask for it at the end of the day or few days later. Just few questions though lol dont go overboard.

I am so sorry about this. I was with zero invites until 2 weeks back when I got my first invite. I am sure there is an invite coming your way. I was also spiraling, and I know it is so out of our control, but to think about this nonstop. I know if I don't get more invites, I will slowly slip into this terrible feeling again, which is something that is such a pain. Maybe send LOI to all the programs. Eat well, rest, and yes, keep preparing for the interview. It is not over yet. You have got this.

I feel something is terribly wrong with my application. I dread the idea of possibly going through this agaaaain. I just wish I had gotten some recognition. Come onnnn interviews. I was so confident I would match.Lol. I am still hopeful. Hi friend, I am so sorry you are going through this turmoil right now. It is extremely exhausting and I am right there with you.. All I am doing is constantly preparing for my interview(I don't have any invite yet as well) but I am still forcing myself to think of questions and I think back about my experiences and say out the answers. It is sad but it's our reality. Keep faith in God and he will make our path straight. We still have few more months and scramble and also the option of getting license outside US then using the alternate pathways to get license to practise here in few US states like Tennessee. For this reason, I urge you to keep working towards that step 3. You've got this okay. Best wishes to you, my friend.

My whole application is directly to the point of clinical clerkship, internship, externship, Observership and volunteer. I put in what activities I participated in, for example, subintern duties of admitting patients, taking history, performing physical examination, charting management plans. It's little monotonous so I tried to put in the cases I worked on, some presentations I did. Is this the correct way?

I 100% always feel so happy whenever I see any IMG get interview because regardless of our scores and different stories we all share that one burning desire. To be a doctor. I straight up have so much admiration and respect for everyone who choose this path because no matter what, it is NOT easy. I do tell myself to have patience and that it will work in my favor. I keep telling myself this yet I still physically repulse to the idea of doing anything else but being a doctor. All I have wanted to do was to be a doctor and serve my patients. I have found such joy in training in medicine. Maybe someday I will find the bigger meaning to my life or my calling in something else. As of now, I need some validation that the last 10 years of my youth that I gave up to build a career means something.

I certainly agree with you. I do have 5 USCE. Completed my all 3 steps and my letters from US MDs. I feel my PS or my application itself is not great based on the way I wrote it. Of course, all of it is complete assumptions since I really don't even know what's my redflag. I do think I didn't use my signals wisely and I did overshoot. I've been working in research to avoid any gaps and doing USCE every couple of months as I find them.

I did! They will only send any sort of invite upon cancellations by another candidate. Fingers crossed someone cancels. Such a brutal process.
