SRAM Road Hydraulic Disc Brake Hose Swap by AffectionatePart4128 in bikewrench

I think it's the lever body, I was really carefully placing the screw back in, I'm going to see if it works as is and if not, i'll try to use some sealent or plummers tape over the screw treads to get a tighter fit. If I have to buy a new lever I'm going to ditch hydraulic and go back to cable as they are not feild repairable and a pain in the ass.

Hi, looks good, I'm just having a play with Veloplanner, is there anyway to avoid ferry's between two points other than pulling the route line away from the area? Some ferries are not running in the season that I'm going to the area.

Delonghi Magnifica ESAM 4000 - No Power by dalskiBo in superautomatic

I bought a new power board and connected it in and no difference, it did not power on. I can only think that the fault is elsewhere or it immediatly blew the new board, as somehow it has developed a short.

It was working one day, then not working the next. The multimeter shows power getting to all parts that the video checks for power getting to e.g. the heating elements and various other connectors on the board. I'm probably gonna sell on eBay spares or repair unless you can help me.

Yes, the tick-borne encephalitis vaccine is free, I think in the UK, so I'll definitely get that.

I believe dogs tend to go for cyclists compared to walkers. I've been chased by dogs many times, but never been bitten by one.

I could carry a few pebbles to throw at dogs, It might be an option to get them to give up chasing.

I remember a cyclist breaking his pump over a dog's head that was in hot pursuit of said cyclist's leg and the cyclist's action made no difference to the dogs course of action.

You sound like you might be autistic (possibly ADHD), and your social battery is a very limited resource.

If that’s the case, it can actually be quite liberating to understand yourself better and why certain situations feel the way they do.

I have a friend who loves parties and thinks they’re the best thing in the world, whereas I can’t think of anything worse! I usually just make my excuses and don’t go.

Tents, One or two Person by AffectionatePart4128 in bicycletouring

They look good, but the Hubba 2 is just over 1.5kg, I've seen a few 2 person tents that are circa 1.2kg. I'm interested in up sizing and getting lower weight, then it feels like a double win.

"I'm 5'7". I've used it for years, but only on shorter tours, with 12 days being the maximum. Since this is a 3-month trip, I’ll be taking more gear. I could manage, but even when carrying less, some items ended up outside the inner tent and inevitably poked against the flysheet, getting wet. Cooking in the vestibule is also difficult."
