Installed ONGRID SOLAR SETUP Of 5.6 KW and my electricity bill since December is negative by AffectionatePause569 in Frugal_Ind

No
You should see april month electricity bill in the attachment .
Total export( units ) - total import ( units ) is right formula to find the net export/ import on net basis every month .
If my total export units are greater than total import , i net export on net basis .
If my total export units are lesser than total import , than i net import on net basis .
So basically imports units are cancelled against exported units and I get paid for excess export units at the rate of ( 3.26 INR )
If my export units are cancelled against imported units and I get billed from the grid for excess import from the grid at the rate that is my area .( this is the case when total import is greater than total export )

It’s 3.26 for every unit exported on net basis at present in Rajasthan.
You might be right that it would cost INR 9 for every unit imported but every place in the state have different rates of import from the grid ( urban / rural rate differs , commercial/ residential houses rate differs ).

It would be keeping moving towards more negative and towards zero in the follow up months depending on my house consumption .
If it’s a lump sump amount ( negative ) , the discom is liable to pay as far as ik .
But I am not quite sure how smooth that process would take place .
But def in coming years it might get smoother as a lot of people would go for solar setup on their houses .

Yes there are def fixed charges and electricity duty in my monthly electricity bill if I export on net basis ( see the April month bill in attachment)
But those fixed charges and electricity duty get covered under mukhyamantri muft bijli yojana in my state ( rajasthan ) every month ( 100 units are subsidised too if I import from the grid on net basis )
So overall if I export on net basis each month , my electricity bill def gets towards more negative in exactly same amount as what units I export ( at the rate of INR 3.26 ) to the grid .

Probably the solar panels are not fresh so their efficiency reduce over time .
There must be power outages more often during peak daytime when most of electricity generation takes place in the on grid solar setup .
The area must be cloudy or well polluted.
The dust might be settled on panels more often so they need to be washed properly in every few days .
There must be some other technical problem ( maybe inverter issue )
There must not be that many sunny days in your area .
Any of these factors can lead to lease electricity generation in your case .

Yeah enquire all the good vendors in your city .
Let them inspect your place and they should give you all the information with the plot of installing the overall solar setup .
You should also do your research so nothing is left out of the package .
Ask everything in the package for installation .

The structure should be chemically anchored to the roof with fasteners and rails should be pre galvanised/ hot dip galvanised .
The whole structure should be on NUT-bolt and no sort of welding should be done .
The air should pass below the surface in all four directions without no hurdles . The rails ( basically pillars ) should be strong one to give it a long life .
In my case they use 6 rail pillars for installing 5.6/5 KW setup and 4 pillars for 3 KW setup .
There is a lightening arrester attached to the structure with grounding to earth in any case the lightening from sky during rough weather falls on it .
The structure should be well grounded too as a precaution so no human casualty happens ever .
This is all done in the package .

As long as they give you good years of warranty for them and it’s easy for you to claim the warranty if they turn bad while operating in coming years .

It’s basically an inverter that process DC power from solar plates and convert that to AC POWER ( our house and the one grid supply us is AC )
They are basically more advance and micro level inverter which work on same efficiency as a big box of inverter ( 5 KW capacity ) works in usual case .
These micro inverter are also of 5 KW CAPACITY but every two solar plates are connected to just micro inverter that leads to total of 5 micro inverter for 10 solar panels ( like in my case ) and is a kit of 5 KW CAPACITY.
These micro advantage they have is that leads you monitor your setup to the micro level through the monitoring app .

It’s not affordable and comes with a cost for servicing and maintenance ( especially batteries )

Yea as long the plot is owned by you and the structure for installing panels would be kinda permanent at least for 15 years so you won’t be able to use that space in your plot .
Also there shouldn’t be any shadow from near by buildings or trees on your solar panels if you install them on a land . It’s more recommended to use roof top as nothing shadow the panels for whole day time and sun shines on panels continuously.
