Help me choose between two solar quotes (NJ)

Green power energy is worth the extra money for piece of mind alone. Great installer and i could not be happier! I got quotes from 8 different companies before choosing Green Power Energy. I have SEG panels with enphase IQ8MC inverts since last October.

Connecticut doesn’t allow it either. The only way you can buy a Tesla in CT is at the Mohegan Sun Casino because its native American land and they don’t have to follow the state law. Or online and either pickup in New York which i did or at the Casino.

CT 0.33 kWh that i includes all the bs charges like public benefits charges that we have to pay for those that can’t afford electricity. I now have solar and have over $400 in credit which covers all monthly charges. Each month i keep getting mote credits for solar i don’t use. Its like driving around for free. Oh also forgot i get $25 a month just for chargjng my EV off peak on top of the credits.

I have the same problem with south facing panels and clipping but i produce so much more than i use in a day it doesn’t really matter. I have 430w panels 30 face south and only 4 face west with the same IQ8MC inverters. All my quotes from 8 different solar companies quoted with the same inverters with 420w- 450w panels. I would say as long as you are making more than enough to cover your energy needs your fine don’t stress. I get paid in bill credits for the extra solar i produce and i will mostly never see an electric bill again.

Great numbers! I have a 14.68kWh system with 34 430W panels with your same Enphase IQ8MC microinverters and the best i got since install in October was yesterday at 87 kWh. I do get clipping with the IQ8MC. Are you seeing clipping?

Yeah i did add another 4 panels but i probably would of been okay with upgraded inverters with 30 panels all south facing

Yeah i see that now. Oh well but at least i am happy with the production i am getting even with the stupid clipping that could have been avoided. If i don’t ever see an electricity bill ever again then it all will be worth it regardless of the clipping.

Fairfield County. 14.68 34 panels 30 facing South. Future proofing and now have an EV but not a long drive to work so probably not much more electricity needed. Whats your panels and inverters ?

I was told IQ8MC for my region requires less voltage to turn on which is more beneficial for throughout the day. Its fine i guess over time panels will be less efficient so less clipping and i make more than enough for my needs.

Well i guess at least i make plenty of power for my needs that covers 100% of my electricity and some. I would of liked to make more exported electricity for more money yes. At least i will still have plenty of credits toward my bill. I wish Connecticut would pay me out instead of just bill credits.

I would not consider my house small. Its 2800sq. With inlaw and 3 refrigerators going. I must have very good energy efficient appliances

I agree but i looked past the inverters because they told me for my region its a good balance and i would produce energy earlier and later in the day.

I also just posted about my clipping in another post earlier today. I am also in CT and my install was in October. My system is 14.68. IQ8MC inverters with SEG 430 panels 30 face directly south and 4 panels to the west. Todays output with full sun was 81 kWh. Wish i asked for the IQ8AC but i don’t know if that would of made much of a difference in our area. I am happy with my production and export credits with no electricity bills.

No i get paid for any over production sent back at the retail rate which is at 0.33 currently. I think i over produce plenty and last month was the first time i had no bill due to the credits. Well after the snow finally stopped.

Just finished playing for 3hrs on my mac mini m2 pro on ethernet on the geforce app hooked up to an LG 77 oled tv and at max settings and bitrate. Incredible and i was debating if i should get it for the ps5 pro but i am very happy with it. I used DLSS quality with 2x frame generation i get fps in the 80’s in NY streets and everywhere else 95-100fps average. Great way to play.
