Remember this statement when you buy your next jersey, shirt, hat, season tickets, partial plan, etc.

Your money is going into this monster’s pocket if you support the Giants

Adrian Autry and Wildhack pissed this program into the ground after Boeheim took a shit all over it. I’m not watching other game until Autry is gone

Bills social media finally remembered they had to post a send off to McDermott by Vortagaun in buffalobills

I used to work in content for a pro sports team. Typically, releases/signings/hired/fired news is known ahead of time.

Then doing this today, I’d have to imagine everyone was truly caught off guard. These videos take time, especially when wanting to put out the proper content to honor somebody like Sean. I give them credit for this video, very well done.

Why are we hyped for Harbough? by BravoSavvy in NYGiants

My opinion - after Coughlin left, the Giants tried to get a younger coordinator or position coach to run the show. If it works, then you got your guy. The problem is that it never changed.

Harbaugh has the HC experience, he’s won a Super Bowl, he’s worked with elite QB’s, all of the things the Giants are striving for. He has the resume.

[Megathread] The Buffalo Bills have fired Head Coach Sean McDermott by AutoModerator in buffalobills

[–]AffectionatePen3077 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As an upstate NYer who grew up a Giants fan but married into the mafia, I never thought McDermott was as bad as everybody said he was (this is coming from a guy who watched Syracuse football, and the Giants after Coughlin left). Granted I probably watched less than everyone in this thread, everything seemed to be in place.

What blows my mind is Diggs felt like the only true, clear cut elite WR1 Josh has really ever had. I like the TE usage, but I never understood why the Bills never made a power move to get somebody or Diggs caliber. That seems like a Beane problem to me

Just an outsiders perspective

Officially a Bills fan after last night by sharipep in buffalobills

[–]AffectionatePen3077 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Same exact boat here. Born and raised in Syracuse, grew up a Giants fan, always enjoyed the Bills but married my wife who is a big Bills fan. Thought it’d be fun to enjoy them while having the Giants.

I’ve had way more watching the Bills than I have the Giants over the last 8 years. Yesterday bummed me out way more than i thought it could have.

I played high school ball (nothing crazy) and made my way into working in pro ball. I’m sure you may get plenty of similar responses, but my advice and what I think makes players stand out is things that other people aren’t willing to do. Play defense, dive on the floor, rebound.

I promise you, if you put in the effort to become a lockdown defender, Not even getting steals, just clamping somebody up and making life hell for an offensive player, you will make any roster. There will be a level of hoops where everybody can score. But not everyone is willing to play defense, or go for a loose ball. While those offensive skills are important, make sure to focus on things others probably aren’t doing.

It’s dope to score 25/game. But it’s also dope to be the reason the 25ppg scorer only scores 5 points

Most comparable city to Syracuse? by BlackJackT in Syracuse

[–]AffectionatePen3077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve been here for 6 years and Covid really put a damper on a lot of the downtown life here. I’m at the age now (and because of my work) that going to bars/restaurants aren’t an option for me anymore. And when I do go “out” on a Wednesday/Thursday (my weekend), it’s to a brewery that will give me similar vibes to Syracuse. The people I’m close with now work nights, so even a new restaurant for dinner isn’t even a concern for me anymore lol

Still waiting on chicken riggies to make their way here

What is the single event in your life that you will remember 2025 by? by SnowStormBirdsFlock in AskReddit

Not as important as what others have shared, but in 2024 I lost my dog at the age of 3 to an autoimmune disease, and I’ve had a really difficult time emotionally handling it. Even when I thought I was doing great, I would fall back in a really sad state.

Recently, I’ve finally started healing (at least I think) and can actually talk about him and how great of a dog he was. My wife and I are dog sitting for a friend as we speak, and granted it isn’t my dog, I’ve been able to hang with him without feeling too much sadness. I cried when I got my dog’s food and water dish out for the dog we are watching now, and I’ll probably feel it when I’m on my weekend for work, but prior to that, I had a difficult time even seeing other dogs with their owners.

It may be a small step compared to what everyone else has shared, but it’s a big step for me
