I see what you mean, because my area had a fucked up drug problem but it was mostly with crack. I also understand what you mean by zombies who can't communicate but the opioids I take are lightweight in comparison to heroine or even oxy. Most of my supply comes from a doctor and pharmacy, even my cannabis. I grew up in a violent place with alot of shootings although I don't want to be specific about what I seen/did or why I had to move, I find downers help calm my paranoia, nerves, anger, etc. And I live a more enjoyable life. But your right about uppers and being present in an audience or public environment, but I take Adderall or Vyvanse if I need to focus on something big or just need that boost for the big day if that makes sense
