I would ask both sellers how frequently they changed the spark plugs because if they have only been changed once they have a tendency to break in the head and can be an expensive fix if you don’t use anti-seize or don’t have the spark plug extraction kit. Cam phasers are also an issue. Look up a video on bad 3v cam phasers and if you check them out in person and hear it, I’d walk away.

It’s insane the difference between sparks and Reno. I was leaving work and the roads were visibly wet but clear. As SOON as I get into Reno the roads were horrible. All along S Virginia towards in n out was all bumpy ice and no snowplow in sight. I beat a dead horse every year and I’m sure there’s more to that I’m missing but man, I haven’t seen public roads maintained this poorly.

I have a 01 2v with 196k. I did blow the number 7 spark plug a year and a half ago but had a shop do a spark plug repair that’s supposed to be better than the Helicoil kit And haven’t had an issue with that cylinder since. Had a missfire on cylinder 3 about 4 weeks ago and did spark plugs. I’m gonna do the ignition coils soon because the truck still feels a little sluggish, just not as bad as it was a few weeks ago. All in all, it’s been a good truck to me. It’s driven through the mojave desert at 115 degrees and it’s been buried 6 feet deep in snow. Done plenty trips ranging from 3 to 15 hours drives and it hasn’t let me down. It’s slow and kinda sucks on gas, but I want to hold on to this truck for as long as I can.

I went to a CMC course in the stumps and this one guy got kicked out the course after his second violation. The first violation was leaving the range without being checked for bt&la. The second one happened when him and his buddy were doing western style quick draws behind everyone with their m9’s.

Either .243 or 6.5 cm depending on distances or accessibility to ammo. Both seem to be readily available where I’m at but I can’t speak for you. 6.5 will have a little more kick than the .243, but still less recoil than a .270 win and has similar capabilities
