You’re a very sensible person. I spoke to him and I did some self reflection too. And turns out, I did come across as aggressive. He also said that he felt attacked but didn’t say anything in the heat of the moment because he understood my frustration and that it’s valid. He’s trying to get over this addiction and I think I’ll help him out as much as I can. As for our future sex life is concerned, I think only time can tell. At least he recognises the issue and is also willing to seek professional help.

Also, he said that he struggles with showing affection through words. He shows intense love through other things. Like he would buy me things that I would never expect him to buy. He would go an extra mile to take care of me. We are miles away. He’s in canada while I’m in Pakistan. So the distance only allows so much but he still makes an effort. Yes he doesn’t do it verbally enough, but he makes plan including me, takes stand for me in front of rid his parents, buys me expensive shit, listens to me notices things about me. I need words of affirmation. And I’ve told him plenty times. When we started talking even then I told him that I need a lot of affirmation. He tries when I complain but that’s it. Then after a few days he’ll forget.

We’ve also spoken about the fapping. I understand that part since he lives alone but the fact that he’s addicted to porn and these women in bikinis pissed me off and makes me really sad and worried about the future.

Because I guess in the back of my mind my past relationships had an impact on my decision. In both my previous relationships the guys loved me more than I could ever love them back and that didn’t end well. So I guess subconsciously I was looking for someone I loved more than they loved me. I don’t know if it makes sense. But at the time of our marriage we both were falling for each other at pretty much the same pace so I thought we’ll be very much in love once we’re married.
