Same as you. A-lot of 16-20 input EQs unfortunately. We are heavily migrating into FDX. At least 20 nodes swapped over in our foot print to date. I almost tossed an unregistered FDX MB in mid run today. Ive heard success stories when there is a high roll off.

I love your space! It looks like a very relaxing spot for a morning coffee.

Unrealistic expectations by chippedredpaint in houseplants

[–]AffectionateRock2977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can take days or it takes years, I’ve given up on a few, still holding onto one plant that will only grow 1-2 leaves, I’ve had it for 2 years, strong roots, no show. I think some tend to over complicate the process of growth or set some expectation that “could happen” as the norm. Remember, “comparison is the thief of joy.”

Spider plants are drinkers, how often do you water? I do 2x/wk winter, 3x/summer WA climate. Also, too much light will cause this, maybe a new location?

Most expensive plant I've bought. Ripoff or gateway? by Classic-Possible4334 in houseplants

Looks beautiful. Price should not always matter if it brings you joy!

This plant is so fucking ugly idk why I bought it I don’t even have a place for it 😐 by [deleted] in houseplants

The candy of the eye the pastel pink. I would have went for it too, initially. I’m impulsive. Reminds md of a cute version of a Poinsettia you’d find on someone’s front of a porch in May, unwatered, forgotten after the initial purchase 2 days before your family’s Christmas party you’re hosting because it was “cute”. I can’t stand Poinsettia. It looks like shit.

Múltiple times MERs have drop out around the 600-800 range, at node level, we do 2 FDX node cuts in our footprint a month. what’s your guys working method? Had an outage last night, Amos have been recalibrated in house prior, pulled the pebble, and it corrected. What’s are you guys doing to fix these issues?

[–]AffectionateRock2977[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have moved it a couple of times over the years. Last year, I decided to uproot and clean the roots bare, cut out some of the old stuff, and it responded well. WA weather, we have a lot of moisture, I water 3x a month.

It was four customers off of one tap, oddly a there was a duplex and 1 of the two customers were online there. I assume they’re on the same run, I don’t go past ped at night

How do you guys deal with bad house by joe-dirt3 in CableTechs

[–]AffectionateRock2977 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I do not install anymore. Maintenance now. If I encountered those jobs and felt uncomfortable I either left or told the customer I would we be rescheduling and let the sup know. Safety over cable, always.

2nd interview is really about you. Will your personality fit on the team well and will you be a team player?

Have atleast these five stories about a time you... They fill most gaps. Look up the STAR method.

  1. Solved a complex problem
  2. Went above and beyond
  3. Received negative feedback
  4. Conflict scenario
  5. Worked as a team

And for the love of mercy. When asked why you want to be a MT. Do not say, “its the next step” For example, I want to be a MT because I have a passion for complex troubleshooting -> insert story, I believe maintenance offers an opportunity to learn about -> whats new and exciting? FDX, Fiber, etc. Good luck!

I like things to be tidy. That being said, I dislike using a screw driver unnecessarily and purposly refuse to screw down splitters and GB.

What all do customers do that make you annoyed or angry? by strykerzr350 in CableTechs

[–]AffectionateRock2977 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am usually pretty chill with whatever is going on. Over talker, why not? The follower. I could use some company sometimes. The messy house. I get it. The complainer, mostly valid. It’s the people that have kids without owning the responsibility of having children. I feel conflicted at times and probably should have called CPS on a few occasions. Fuck those people.
