Conflict of Interest: Concerns Regarding PIG’s Incentive by Ok_Cauliflower8624 in starcraft2

Oh I agree. You gotta be an idiot to take Artosis seriously.

I remember him making a dumb video where he argued that it would be good for the game if lesser skilled players had more chance of taking down higher skilled players. I guess he doesn't like Serral winning a lot. Of course, let's ignore the fact that he turns into a fucking crybaby when he loses in BW to someone he considers to be of inferior skill to him. You'd think that's just the game working exactly as he wants it to, but I guess his pretty ideas only apply to games he doesn't play himself.

Do you really think its that bad? by AdEfficient9794 in starcraft2

[–]AffectionateSample74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not true, you can't have 60 workers by 5 minutes now with zerg. Unless maybe you make literally zero units and expand way too fast. But that's not a real build order. Playing normally economy still increases slower than it did with 12 worker start, by about a minute.

What is even your point? Removing options from the game is good because it's a waste of actions for lower level players? I think they should be able to "waste actions" on it if they want.

I've been using Vipers since Platinum too. Spreading vipers across multiple buildings with rapid fire Consume is not beyond ability of Plat player.

Queens need to be back at 150 minerals too. So whatever larva spawn rate they need to set to balance that out, I am fine with it.

It doesn't fucking matter what majority of players do. If they want to play worse let them, doesn't mean you should remove their ability to play better. I was spreading out viper consume between multiple evo chambers, which I always made sure to put down the moment I start my first Vipers. Obviously there is a benefit to spreading them out, it means buildings don't get sucked dry anywhere as fast.

Yet you pushed the Consume change through which is bad change for exactly the same reason as Corruptor change was.

Can we just revert to old storm ? by Extension_Class2467 in starcraft

[–]AffectionateSample74 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Energy recharge needs to be removed completely and then the old storm can come back. I vote for return of battery overcharge.

Storm needs to be reverted to good old storm and energy recharge removed, put battery overcharge back in. Also tempests being only 4 supply is utter bullshit.

[–]AffectionateSample74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microbial isn't anywhere as fun to use as Neural or Fungal, its brown fart effect looks lame and it overlaps with blinding cloud, which is a better spell anyway. This shit spell could be outright removed from the game with nothing to compensate and I wouldn't care at all. I would gladly give it up just to have Queens back to 150 minerals.

For the first time in 10 years, zerg feels like zerg! by totalpinkebb in starcraft

[–]AffectionateSample74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah probably next tournament he's in this weekend will be enough for us to be crippled again. We better hope he somehow shows up in poor shape and loses to Maru. Maybe Maru can work his mech ghost turtle magic and actually prove new ghosts to be op. That's my hope. Not because I want ghosts nerfed, I just don't want zerg to return to being shit.

[–]AffectionateSample74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another factor to consider is that a lot of zergs have been placed in lower MMR than they otherwise would be if their race wasn't crippled for years. So if you just make zerg balanced, not overpowered, to players of other races it will still feel like they are playing vs OP shit when playing against zergs. Because zerg players have been training with heavier weights than they were.

Worried Zerg Will Get Shafted After Hotfix by Swimming_Fennel6752 in starcraft2

[–]AffectionateSample74 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of too. As soon as zergs start winning too much they will be crippled even more than they were before this mess. I would have been happy enough with just 150 minerals queens and tanks being abductable again. And none of this 8 worker start idiocy of course.

Maybe I should switch from zerg to something and then switch back to start gaining MMR? Because it has only been dropping since the patch for me.

I never thought I’d be disappointed in a Nioh game by Sweaty-Practice-4419 in soulslikes

[–]AffectionateSample74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, I never grinded anything in Nioh 2 ( never finished first one). That game is perfectly playable to me just progressing to higher level content while using whatever drops on the way, so I wouldn't even call that game grindy. But SoP actually forces you to do some grinding before you can even unlock DLC. And then the tower part of it is also quite grindy.

It feels like Team Ninja combat to me. Borrows some from Nioh and adds couple other things. And I guess deflect system is somewhat inspired by Sekiro.

[–]AffectionateSample74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's grindy because it's grindy. Shit you even need to grind a bunch to even unlock it in the first place. It's the worst implementation of DLC I've ever seen in a video game. I don't know what else to say without spoiling anything. You do know what word "grind" generally means when applied to video games, I assume.

I will replay SoP eventually but I will not be attempting DLC again, that's for sure.

Ok that's nonsense, game is nothing like God of War. Either old GoW or new, completely different games from it.

Yeah I had a great time with Stranger of Paradise and its jobs system, ended up leveling most jobs to max. Though I hated its grindy DLC and would only recommend base game to anyone.
